Hungover mistakes aside, that really is an interesting article on Obiang. The role he plays - hard graft & positional - means that he won't be many fans' favourite player, but he's crucial to allowing the likes of Payet to have the freedom to create

Re: Angelo Ogbonna
Looks a real player to me and almost underrated when you consider the lack of praise he receives. Another blinder yesterday

Collins gets the headlines because he throws himself around and makes blocks. Ogbonna is a far more controlled and classy defender. Best player on the pitch for me yesterday.

So glad he chose us over Everton, every time I see his name in the starting line-up it gives me confidence, was excellent yesterday, seems like a genuinely nice bloke as well

Wow. Have a read of the previous page.
Nothing like giving a bloke a chance, is there?

Not sure what there is in his game to put people off, for me he's a clear step above what we're used to for a CB and being at the heart of our 6 clean sheets can't be a co-incidence.
Someone mentioned it in the match thread but once fit he shouldn't have been left on the bench.

Serie A to Premier League is a big jump to make in terms of tempo, and many struggle to adapt. I think he's done excellent so far as I originally thought it would take him at least 6 months to adapt.
