Re: Manuel Lanzini
He’s been out for 8-9 months, which is normal for his type of injury, plus, he may only play a few minutes here and there at first, and it may actually be April before he is fully returned to the team. But this guy is a class act, particularly when he has the support. We need him there as soon as possible.

Re: Manuel Lanzini
I would prefer if he only got a few mins here and there until the end of the season and get a full preseason under his belt before testing the injury full throttle.
With him Wilshere and Yarma next season it should be good choices along with what we have already plus any new signings.

There won’t be any, cos with them all back it’ll be like three new signings right there !ageing hammer wrote:

Sadly, he wasn't the same player, Leroy.hammerleroy wrote:Never thought Devo would come back from his injury...………….but he did!!! COYI
He said it himself, he had to adapt. Luckily, he'd been so good before, he was able to. That was back in the days when many didn't from that particular injury. Testament to Dev's treatment & his own determination, that he did.

Agree Samba but he got through 85-86 season didn't he. Lost a bit pace but used his noddle and compensated.

Some guy on Twitter is asking ex about a picture of Lanzini with his knee wrapped up.

Hope its just precautionary.

Whenever it comes, Lanzini's next appearance for the first-team will be his 100th for the club

Re: Manuel Lanzini
Totally normal for a knee to swell for quite some time after this kind of injury. They will be treating him like he's made of porcelain for a long time.Absolutely Hammered! wrote:Some guy on Twitter is asking ex about a picture of Lanzini with his knee wrapped up.

According to Pellegrini's presser this afternoon he is in contention to be in the squad so looks like it was precautionary... phewAbsolutely Hammered! wrote:Some guy on Twitter is asking ex about a picture of Lanzini with his knee wrapped up.

Re: Manuel Lanzini
Let's hope he is soon back to the player he was. I would think he will have a few minutes here and there for the first few games so we must be patient. He's a class act though and it's great to have him back.

Be lovely to see the little fella come on with 20/30 mins to go, a real tonic, that, plus a win of course

Re: Manuel Lanzini
Times reporting Manu & Nasri could both make the bench tomorrow
Be interesting to see what we could do with two playmakers of their ability on the pitch.

Re: Manuel Lanzini
I suspect he will only make the pitch if we are comfortable and probably a couple of goals to the good. If it is likely that the game is going to be fast pace and pressured I suspect he will remain on the bench, which I think is correct.
Would love to see 10 minutes from him, as the atmosphere in the stadium would (I hope) bring a massive smile to this poor lads face, after what must have been a torrid few months. That being said, it has to be the right time right place.

Ain't nobody
Like Lanzini
Makes me happy
Plays the West Ham way
I think he is my favourite player. Even in the 'Payet' season, I thought it was as much about how he made us tick as it was about Payet's assists and goals. He's been a big part of us playing well when he hasn't been injured the past 2 seasons too, so lets hope in time he gets match fit and creates something special with Anderson etc.

Re: Manuel Lanzini
I can imagine he will get an emotional and impressive standing ovation the first time he goes out to warm up during the game, the corner down by the Bobby Moore stand will be buzzing.GALF wrote: (I hope) bring a massive smile to this poor lads face
