Diego Buonanotte is 5.2.

Nickname 'The Midget'. Killed all his best friends in a car accident about 5 years ago and woke up from a coma unknowledgeable to it.

Really pleased with this signing.

Have a good feeling about him - think he'll do very well for us.

Surely this type of signing is only going to encourage us to play a passing, attacking style of play.

An Argentinian Sam Baldock playing behind an English Sam Baldock would have us challenging for a top 4 place without a doubt !

If only we had a striker like Baldock as cover for Sakho......

Talksport's South Amreican correspondent just gave his thoughts on Lanzini.

Said he was in the mould of an old fashioned style playmaker. Mentioned his slight build. He benefited from a good partnership when he played in S America and he feels he might need that kind of setup to do well. Said it could work out but does have some reservations that he might be on the lightweight side.

No t worried about him being on the lightweight side.

Messi isn't well built Modric is fairly slight as well and they do alright.

Bring him down to Nathan's a few times a week and he won't be long filling out :scarfer:

Yes, he does appear a little lightweight, but we've certainly got the strength and height in the squad to counterbalance that, not least Kouyate and Obiang in CM.

 Messi is very well built for his height he is like a small army tank that is why '6ft 3' defenders bounce off him when he is on one of those mazy runs.By the way Messi is the same height as this kid one of them weights 130lbs and the other 152 lbs.

Having a small frame is only an issue if you don't have sufficient technical skill and sharpness of mind, we'll have to wait and see whether he has it.

Haven't seen him since 2012 when he was playing on the wing at River with Trezeguet up top, but the league is somewhat physical and he dealt with it decently enough then. Would get muscled off the ball on occasion and avoided a lot of challenges, many of them dangerous, with his quickness and skill. Was always very impressive for his age.

Think the only player lighter than him in the league is Jesse Lingard.

Every site I've checked gives Messi as 67Kg which is 148 pounds. Stats for Lanzini vary from between a low of 59Kg (130 pounds) , most at 64Kg (141 pounds) , one at 66Kg (145 pounds), and even one at 69Kg!!! (152 pounds) It will be interesting to see what his 'official' club weight is... But it doesn't appear that Lionel is vastly bulkier.

I just remembered Messi's off top of my head I know he trimmed down a bit last season I remember them saying so on la liga sky games.

You don't need me to put the weights up for the two of them. You only need to just looks at pics of them one looks like a little teenage boy and the other is solid as a rock.

Hazard and Aguero are both tiny, but it works for them because their technique and pace off the mark is good.

As I said in the Samuelsen thread; being bullied out the game and such is all in the head, not in the body.

If he plays right, like Silva, Cazorla, Aguero (who are admittedly a bit bulkier, but the example remains) then he won't need to care about the physical aspects of the game.

Thrilled that the new manager has identified our weakness as being lack of attacking midfielders rather than forwards..At least four years since we had any quality in that department.
