Well that £720m would t include Upton gardens .no idea when finish date is but don't think Upton Park is even completely demolished yet which somewhat astounds me .Tbh I'm not sure how claret figures can be that wrong sssuming the 25% figure is correct .The only thing they could be wrong on are things like build cost which they had as £84m .the £350m ish total revenue on development can't be far wrong .

But if that attendance figure were to be rightly/proudly twittered by a fan, where would the "embarrassment" be? Of course in that case there could well be anger and embarrassment that DG had left it to a fan to broadcast good news.
How long before you get to that "500" anti-owner rants?

The problem is we all know our average attendance is not 56,970 and not up there with the likes of Benfica and Barcelona. 56,970 is tickets sold and all our mates of other teams will now post pictures of empty white seats and take the micheal.
If he just thought about what he tweeted we'd all be better off and yes he deserves some stick for doing so.

Wonder how many of the other top 8 in Europe have to give away thousands of tickets to the local government in order to fill out empty spaces, yet still visibly have thousands empty every single home game?

The problem is Gold does not now have the capacity to think through his actions. He needs to come off twitter or stick to posting to photos of himself with the family and helicopter.

The club is run by clowns! Gold Sullivan and Brady should just get out before the club loses all of its loyal fans! it's getting so bad I feel we should just not buy season tickets, or turn up and turn your backs to the pitch as a show of disgrace of our wonderful club! if it was true Red Bull offered £600 million for the club how come they never took it? or was it just more BULL S--T! JUST F__K OFF all three of you as nobody wants you!!

It's even worse than I thought. He is now posting about how this is the best batch of youth players in over a decade after already saying previously it was highly unlikely they would be given a chance in the team.

You can't actually believe his tweets do us any favours .He is literally a meme on twitter he makes us a laughing stock .Imo the whole tone of a club is set by the owners it cultivates the whole atmosphere of a club .i think it's pretty obvious to most they are trying to fatten the cow before sale .Obviously in their opinion things like this increase the clubs value .Im sure no self respecting buyer would fall for it but I'm sure they will keep on trying

Be great if somebody could set up a poll thread asking if owners should be on twitter .id imagine at least 90% would say no .

Last 2 Prime Ministers have been on twitter as have last two presidents of US. Why shouldn't a club owner be on it? Yes occasionally he writes some strange stuff, but what better way to have a platform to directly express your view about your thoughts about a club. And I'm 100% sure the logical ideas get implemented.

6 months rent in Manchester is probably less than £3k. Pocket change for Sullivan
Putting a homeless person who has had issues, and has current health issues into a house without support is a recipe for disaster.

Sullivan Jnr is working with a local Homeless Charity to support him and make sure he gets the right support in terms of accommodation, health and job. You can't always just throw money at a problem, young Dave is doing the right thing in the right way.

Anyone who thinks David Gold on twitter is portraying a positive image of West Ham is mistaken IMO. Most of the time he is either contradicting himself or simply lying.

Lying? If anything he is too honest. The stuff about kids not getting much playing time is 100% true but it's something you don't mention. Also the stuff about Defoe not having a sell on value is what every chairmen would think but not say.

The words of the owners have a huge bearing on how the club is perceived in all manner of ways.

The bits in bold are a very good reason why he should now either not be on twitter or confine his utterances to areas which require little brain power.

I don't recall ever seeing David Gold being described as too honest before, first for everything.
