Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Sullivan's other "businesses" amount to thirty or more intertwined with the apparent objective of completely bamboozling any one looking into them, imo!!
West Han United's investment in it's training facilities appear to be a fraction of David Sullivan's interest repayments or even his elder son's "bachelor pad"! This coupled with a reactive transfer policy, which has appeared to have swung away from Sullivan's recent claim of "the days of signing 30 + players are over" to exactly that, along with the short termism that leads to.
You can argue the toss over the wage bill from either side, but you cannot argue that the facts are we are paying "top wages" for "average/over the hill players" and have a hugely unbalanced squad.
The club is an absolute car crash, with the "three drunks" in charge and recruitment in to this "shitshow" revolves around throwing money at "names" or offering short term contracts + bonuses to managers, who,in consequence, have no real motivation to build something, imo.

Dear Daves
Please can you show for once you are not the clowns you perceive to be and appoint a manager instead of saying this and that and loosing all that may improve us, whilst also missing out on possible transfers.
We still await the next level.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
So, Moyes has gone.
Just thinking back to Sully's recent interviews. After it all kicked off against Burnley, he was going to take a step back and employ a Director of Football. Then, when he realised he didn't actually want to, he said he wasn't going to because Moyes didn't want to work with one.
Now Moyes is no more, does that mean we get the DoF we were promised?
(This is purely rhetorical as I already know the answer)

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Here we go again - no plan, no clue - rinse and repeat.
Looks like Moyes has told them to do one and fair play to him for that.
Meanwhile I've no doubt that GSB will be looking at last season as this - net spend of £7m (IIRC) and we got 13th place - why should we spend any more?
I despise them and what they've done to our club.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
In a BBC interview today, David Sullivan stated: "Look it ain't too difficult this manager lark. After all the last 3 blokes have managed to cock it up royally, so I have decided to give it a bit of a go until we can find someone who wants the job and can work with me. In the interim I have appointed Andy Swallow as the assistant manager because anyone who disagrees with our policy can meet him at the Podium and sort it aht."

They've reached that chaotic stage where they are incapable of sticking with a rare, good decision.
They must be completely and utterly spooked by something.

If you mean that Moyes was a good decision - I agree, but I expect that he wanted more control thanbubbles1966 wrote:They've reached that chaotic stage where they are incapable of sticking with a rare, good decision.

the control freaks were prepared to cede.
