Surely they will sell up soon when does the penalty clause end when they have to pay a percentage of profit. My concern is whether a buyer can be found Newcastle seem to be finding it hard to get one

It must have been as horrific for them to read the journalists reports, quite rightly laying into us for that shambolic capitulation, for that is what that performance yesterday was, as it was for us. So, do you think they will happy to see their £100m squad investment net a return of a 14th or 15th place finish?

Perhaps they will realise that the mess Sullivan in particular has made over the years with player recruitment and investment in the team is going to take more than one decent transfer window to rectify. It's like a car or a house. Fail to properly maintain it regularly and you'll end up with a bigger bill than if you have done the necessary work at the time it first needed doing.

At least that lying, faux-fan, pornographer shitheel Gold has had the good sense to keep off Twitter.
Be thankful for small mercies, I guess.

I'm sure he was happy that we beat Spurs, just because a camera captured him looking a little grumpy doesnt make him unhappy that we beat a local rival in a big game.

For all we know his missus could have rang him a minute prior and mentioned she left her car keys up his arse.

Me neither and I fully expect him to have words and Mark Noble should not escape from a dressing down either for his part in that humiliation

We are already out of the Cup due to our owners lack of ambition by not strengthening the quality of the squad last summer and this January.

If they don't want to give us every chance of claiming 7th place then the fans really need to call for their heads from the stands again. As 3 seasons in I am still yet to see any benefits from our move to the London Shatium.

If you want to see the likes of Rice, Anderson and co also follow Arnie & the already departed Payet out of the door in the next few windows then I suggest the fans turn the screw on them again.

I thought you were a Spurs fan when I read this bit, but then I read the rest. We spent close to £100m in the summer.

And yet, despite the style of football arguably improving, we'll likely finish no higher than we did last season.

Who is the blame for that?

Manager's change and yet the same owners remain in charge. Are all our managers we appoint to blame?

I'm not sure it's as simple as laying blame at someones door.

Tell me, how much would you class as ambitious? £200m, £500m? Perhaps it is the type of signing that you din un-ambitious? In which case who should we sign that is more to your liking than 25 year old Anderson and 21 year old Diop? Was getting Pellegrini as manager not ambitious enough for you? Who would you have liked to have seen brought in instead?

Our owners are far from perfect or blameless for some of the troubles at the club (the move to the new stadium was disastrous), but let's keep the criticism realistic. It provides the genuine criticism of them with more weight.

Yeah, some of that is because Ashley wants his £150m back. I guess if that was bank debt the incoming owners wouldn't have to find all of that money.

Net spend can be a red herring. It's not an indicator of progression an often an indication of scattergun spending without future proofing.

Speculate to accumulate. You might buy a £30 million player every year and then make money on them every time, that would result in a profit. But those players would improve your squad and results over signing 4 £10 million pound players that fall into your reserves because they aren't good enough.

In isolation that sounds like a decent sum, but it isn't when you stack up the window after window of considerable poor / non investment and punts on players.

This squad needs considerably more investment in it, let's see if the muppets have the balls to do something they have only ever done once before and give us two decent summer windows back to back
