Is the flagman site the guy from Leicester?e-20 wrote:Just out of interest this past day or two the club acolytes have targeted the redbubble site I set up for the flagman merchandise way back. Brady in particular seemed to be unhappy with being compared to the wicked witch of the west (ham). The Flagman stuff seems immune for the time being at least, as they have no basis on which to challenge them but will be interesting to see if they try further tactics to get them removed, they certainly seem a little angsty about being mocked. If I end up mysteriously disappearing or found drowned in the River Lee look for a dodgy short Russian looking guy in a suspect overcoat.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
I wonder if in a private moment, they ever admit to themselves they haven't the wealth to control and properly run a big Premier League football club? When they initially bought half the club in 2010, their sort of wealth was probably sufficient to operate at this level and even now, they have enough money to buy a smaller Championship, or League 1 club, but since they became owners, they have witnessed the rise of several other clubs once considered inferior to West Ham United, overtake, surpass us and disappear into the distance under the control of overseas based ownership with staggering wealth, of which they will never have. Today's press mentions Qatar Investments, who own PSG, are looking to buy a Championship sleeping giant and rumours are, they are targeting, either Nottingham Forest, Leeds United or possibly, QPR. If they are successful, you can add another to the list that will gain promotion to the riches of the Premier League and yet another club overtake us and leave us trailing in the slow lane

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Naaaa I don’t think they think like that at all, I think they think how sweet it is with all the money sloshing around that they don’t have any personal outlay whilst pulling in 4% per year for the pension fund.
They also be rubbing their grubby hands of how much their purchase is now worth when they decide to sell.
I hope the whole thing collapses

They are probably just waiting for us all to collectively get angry, so they can roll us on our backs, and tickle our bellies again.

BBC article this morning about PSG's owners looking to buy a premiere league club. Could they be convinced to sell early or will they insist on waiting til the percent sale tax is lifted in 2 years time?

I'd tend to agree but the club PR puppet has gone with the story on his page.Ozza wrote:We're West Ham, we're not that lucky

Agree with much of what you say Puff but who exactly are these clubs that have 'overtaken, surpassed us and disappeared into the distance' ?Puff Daddy wrote:I wonder if in a private moment, they ever admit to themselves they haven't the wealth to control and properly run a big Premier League football club? Not sure how accurate list on wiki is, but according to that they are 18th richest owners in PL. only Burnley and Huddersfield poorer.

maybe the PL should have finishing positions based upon wealth - these two clowns would be about right for us......fighting relegation every year ......bubbles500 wrote:Not sure how accurate list on wiki is, but according to that they are 18th richest owners in PL. only Burnley and Huddersfield poorer.

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
Is their published wealth still based on the Forbes rich list which, IIRC, was based on sullivan’s own valuation of West Ham....£800m or something like that....?

Does anyone know the earliest date when the shits can sell the club without having to pay anything back to the government?

Gold tweeted this morning giving his charity fund raising day he is staging at his gaff this weekend a good plug. Anybody would be forgiven for thinking he is somewhat concerned at numbers passing through his gates, or he is collecting for himself. Needless to say, he has received some dogs abuse from some Hammers fans, including one that says, 'Are the players attending Dave? In which case, don't expect them to turn up until the second half' Some of the others are unrepeatable

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???
There is a piece about Trevor Francis in the Mail today, he's interviewed as his autobiography 'One In A Million' is released on Monday. He's struggled since the death of his wife 2 years ago. This is an excerpt,
Support from the football community has been widespread and enduring. Kenny Burns, a hard man at Forest, has been a regular caller. Only his former employers when he managed Birmingham City — David Sullivan and Karren Brady — did not reach out.
‘No call, no e-mail,’ he writes in the book. ‘It’s absolutely disgusting’. Francis does not tell too many tales out of school in his autobiography. He reveals that Clough turned up drunk with his team for a game at Hillsborough when Francis was manager of Sheffield Wednesday and that a Birmingham City board meeting was once held in Stringfellows nightclub.
The lengths Brady allegedly went to in order to try to stop Francis selling striker Paul Peschisolido are also revealed. Brady happened to be married to the player at the time.

Not sure if it’s an old interview but Bilic chat on transfers and Payet doing rounds on Twitter
Confirms that Bilic had ‘final say’ but on a list of options effectively controlled by the chairman/self appointed DoF
