.
How are City doing it then? They spent £200 million on defenders and a keeper.

I think the nearest they would come to not being fit and proper would be if they were caught doing any of:
Watching a pirate stream
Ticket touting
Betting on a football match
All of the financial, company and criminal stuff they pass OK.

Our wages (including NI and pensions) were £95m last year against revenue of £183m which is a ratio of 51.9% which is what is measured. That's the 7th lowest in the league against an average of 53.6%..

Simon Jordan* explained it about 6 months ago on Talksport* and in fact there is considerable latitude for owners to finance that sort of player investment it's just the way the money is injected into the club which as you say is why Man City and PSG can still invest massively. Being 6 mths ago I can't remember the exact details he gave though I did write it down at the time so if I find it I will post his view. That said there are murmurings that FIFA/UEFA are going for FFP mk2 mentioned only today aimed at those two clubs in particular though the general response was amusement from those discussing it.... Or should I say dismissing it.
* yes I know he's a t**t blah blah blah but as former club owner he knows more than us and still being in the loop.

Very easy. The owners pay the club for the stadium naming rights, sponsor the shirts and so on.
FFP is like any other rule: those whose job it is to find loopholes tend to be significantly better at what they do than those who wrote the rule in the first place.
I think I am right in saying that in the 8 years they have been here they have sacked or let go a third of all West Ham managers.
"We don't sack managers"

FFP rules for Premier League clubs allow for an increase in wages over the previous season of £7m. In addition to this, any increase in revenue excluding centralised TV revenue, can go towards increased wages.
This additional revenue would include matchday revenues and commercial revenues. Matchday revenue would include things such as catering and commercial revenue would include things such as naming rights. The Baroness with her negotiating skills to keep our rental costs as low as possible ensured that these potential sources of increased revenues were outside of our control and as such we receive less now from these sources than we did at The Boleyn. This is the woman that knows the price of everything and the value of nothing!

It's simple really. They're neither smart enough nor rich enough to run a Premier League club. If you remember that, it will save a lifetime of bitter ****ing disappointment.

Basically the situation in a nutshell.Throw in a bit of mendacity, criminality, arrogance and self-delusion and you've got the whole shooting match.
Interestingly at Ipswich, they were £32m in debt in 2007 when Marcus Evans took them over. That’s doubled since then and he takes over 5% per annum in interest on a loan he’s not converted to equity either.

Working for a company in Ipswich I have at least 4 colleagues that are ST holders and according to them their season ticket sales are the highest in years.
Some people never learn.
Its the same with us...... STOP GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY FFS.
Word is Sullivan is clinging on to the DoF role - putting bids in for players without the knowledge of Moyes or any other incoming manager. In other words without any form of gameplan, strategy or perception of squad composition - or any details about what these players are actually like. Just what Sully thinks will be the next big thing so he can make a few quid and get his rocks off.
So all in all we're completely ****ed with the usual chaotic mess of Sullivan's delusional narcissism. He may as well hand it over to the kids because a ****ing 5 year old could do a better job than this lot. Emery? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
After everybody on Sully's hit list has either turned him down flat, or have turned him down after their own demands cannot be met, they will re-appoint Moyes and tell us, he deserves the chance and how impressed they were with the end of season form and that he was their number 1 choice all along

This. And the promised DoF will never turn up either. "We searched high and low but it's a difficult position to fill and we didn't find the right candidate. I'll continue in the role this season while we continue to look. I have learned a lot the past couple of years and have considerable experience and am determined not to make the same mistakes again plus my son is learning the trade and he will be telling me if I'm doing things right or wrong. We did have some success with players such as Arnautovic, West Hams top scorer, who I signed, so it hasn't all been bad..."
