- a) Michail Antonio - patiently waiting for his chance all season
b) Enner Valencia - first choice last season, fit again after return from injury
c) Mauro Zárate - goals/assists ratio per minutes on the pitch this season has been phenomenal

[Poll] Who should replace Moses v Chelsea?
Under the terms of his loan Victor Moses is ineligible for the match on Saturday. Who deserves is spot in the 'wide-forward / winger' position?

Zarate.
He's the natural replacement. I wouldn't throw Antonio in the deep end against this mob and Valencia just won't be anywhere near fit enough.

Re: Mini-poll: who should replace Moses v Chelsea?
Only Bilic will know if Antonio is ready and how he's been doing in training, if they come at us leaving Ivanovic exposed he's probably got the best attributes to cause him nightmares, on the other hand it's a massive step up from the level he's used too.
I'd probably start Zarate on current form, bringing on Valencia/Antonio in the 70th to run rings around a tired Ivanovic/Cahill.
Edit: Just realised Ivanovic will likely miss this game.

Valencia can't be fit enough to start so I'd go for Zarate.

Haven't a clue.
Given Valencia and Antonio have barely played a minute for us this season, I'd be inclined to start Zarate.
Given the way Chelsea are likely to set up, it could even be a narrow diamond with none of the above.

Hmmm - no out and out wingers to pick from so I've gone for Antonio on the left , Lanzini on the right and Carroll up front with Payet doing his thing behind them . Antonio and Carroll will out-muscle the best of defences .
Another system could be Stephen Hendrie at left back with Cresswell on the left of midfield - probably too big a match for Hendrie though .
Just score 1 more than them and we'll be fine .

Yes I'd have Obiang and let Lanzini run riot, bringing on Zarate if we need an equaliser/winner

Re: [Poll] Who should replace Moses v Chelsea?
I couldnt pick Antonio on the grounds I have never seen him play.
Plus throwing a player on who has come from a pretty poor Championship team to a Premier match against Chelsea seems like an unlikely gamble for any manager to take, still you never know.
I dont think he will pick any of that three, I dont see Zarate or Valencia as starters.
Valencia wont be match fit and am not sure that Zarate is good enough to start against this lot.
What about Obiang? Not on the poll.

Re: [Poll] Who should replace Moses v Chelsea?
Although he offers something different Zarate just gives the ball away far too much, a team like Chelsea will punish that

You're probably right .mushy wrote:I couldnt pick Antonio on the grounds I have never seen him play.
I went with Antonio because the other choices were - Valencia who hasn't kicked a ball in 2 months and Zarate who doesn't seem to have a proper position despite his ability to score cracking goals .
So I went with the unknown factor in Antonio - he's big and he's powerful and he probably belongs in the Championship but he was there to be selected so I picked him .
I'm a bit of a Maverick Manager me .

A bit like our own Mr Bilic then, nothing wrong with that. The Old Man of Storr wrote: .

The unknown factor could just work in a favour as well.

Probably Obiang, but don't forget we allegedly have Song available as well. Can't see him playing the whole game though.

Re: [Poll] Who should replace Moses v Chelsea?
I voted 'None of the above'.
Obiang should replace him. We'll need to combat their 2 holders/deep CM and a very narrow mid-field overall.. Obiang is the best deployed on that basis.
might be different I guess if Jose brings back Hazard as a starter.

Re: [Poll] Who should replace Moses v Chelsea?
Would be happy with either:
A straight swap with Zarate, or;
Change Moses for Obiang and move either Payet or Lanzini out wide.
