Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
What summed it up for me was when nobes sold him short on a back pass rather than hit it back up field and leave himself exposed (Hart against Everton) he volleys it into row Z giving him enough time to get back and organise.
Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
But even when he sold him short either that ball or a player came near it, was going 10 miles, he takes no prisoners, Hart is more of a tart, Adrian is you typically mentally insane keeper.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
f*** knows what all these plenty of games Hart will play srill this season, as Adrian is looking undroppable. At best he might get some games in the Cup if we progress but in the League, I just don't think (or he shouldn't) get much of a sniff now.
Sadly for Hart, he had his chance and after 4 months persisting with him, he didnt take it and actually looked very poor for most of it. It's now night and day by comparison with a rejuvenated Adrian.
I want Adrian to now be our main man in goal for the next 5/6 years. Love everything about him and an adopted Hammer from another Country for sure. I'd be devastated the day he leaves. Like Ludo, he's another much loved foreign Keeper that really gets us.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
There was a point in the second half when Noble got himself in a bit a state and lost possession near the edge of our area, Adrian came flying out and slide kicked it into the stands. Hart would have either stood still watching on his line or if he'd attempted a clearance it would have dropped nicely to the feet of Wilshere!

Adrian gets us and doesn't have a smile on his face when he concedes a goal.
Get rid of Hart, bring in a decent backup, and give Adrian a contract for life.

Perhaps Moyes, uncharacteristically, is anticipating winning both cup competitions with Hart in goal throughout (apart from the finals obvs!)Absolutely Hammered! wrote:I see moyes said hart will still play many games this season..

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Hi all, first post - been drawn to it to say that Adrian really is something special imo. He's stuck at it after being dropped twice in two seasons - the second time for no particularly good reason. He's come back in excellent form. When you compare his speed and agility to Hart, I really can't understand why there was ever a competition.
It's guesswork, but I do believe that Hart would have conceded several over the last two matches. Plenty of shots went to Adrian's left and we've seen time and time again that Hart's weak on his left - a weakness we can't afford to accommodate in a relegation scrap.
Also - I think Adrian's treatment has been really poor. He's been a Hammer for 4 years now, performed consistently well, been a great ambassador for the club, been sent off for a foul on Jamie Vardy from a corner at the OTHER end of the pitch (legend) and seems to embody exactly what I want a West Ham player to be.
I'm a fan of his, in case you that's not clear.

I don't know if it's got anything to do with Moyes or the coaching staff but he's come back a better keeper. His kicking is more directed, his saves are very confident pushing the ball well away, and he's coming out and dealing with the ball without any of the previous clowning around. His handling on high balls has also been great and good positioning at free kicks. Despite the layoff he's more confident than ever. And a great attitude. Competition seems to have worked.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
thought ogbonna was man of the match personally BUT fair play to however picked Adrian as i think it sent a statement to Moyes after his comments yesterday - thats not to say Adrian didnt have a good game just thought ogbonna deserved it a touch more

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
I thought Hart was meant to be good at organising what's in front of him...............
Adrian has the shirt now, ever since he first broke into the first team he's been class and never deserved to be dropped. I know it's early days but he could be a dark horse for the Spain squad.

I agree with your post. Think its a shoddy way to treat a loyal servant.
Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
I don’t like how hart is a scapegoat though
Both decent keepers and this new 3 cb defence started with citeh away.. in those 3 games we looked solid
I’d love to see hart given same chance in this stronger defensive minded side
Hart was hung out to dry by our defence
Only been at fault for 1 goal we let in this season.

Adrian is our player, Hart isn't , that will always tip the balance if terms of who gets my vote .
As for the hand in glove moment , I have thought the sun has shone out of his behind ever since .
