Personally, I think he's going. I'm sure I read somewhere that his family want to return to Spain. Can't remember where I saw that.

He's not the best keeper out there, but he's tried his best, he cared and above all else he got what it meant to be West Ham, he deserves to move on and do what's best for him and his family.

As well as being a very good Goalkeeper he's also an Entertainer who has a great rapport with the West Ham Support - in these days of big money buys and striving for perfection I'll settle for Adrian every day .somerset-hammer wrote:He's not the best keeper out there, but he's tried his best, he cared and above all else he got what it meant to be West Ham, he deserves to move on and do what's best for him and his family.

Love him, he's saved our arses loads of times in games, I never get the negativity or calls to "upgrade" him
Plus he get's it.
I can't think of a better keeper we've had since Ludo

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Great news are Spanish bull is staying and that he will fight it out with another decent GK.
Adrian has seen off randy and hart but fabianski is a better keeper than those two
good competition between them and young trott

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
From what I've seen of him in preseason (albeit I only saw the penalty shootout against Mainz, where was the gloves removal!?) he looks back to his best. Hope he keeps it up, would love to see him as first choice this season

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
hasn't put a foot wrong in pre-season. scouse away is always likely to be a firing squad and adrian loves games like that so i'd start him.

Adrian to start at anfield where he will be busy but he hads performed in similar games like that before and kept us in it. His sort of game and an inform and confident Adrian is a very good keeper.
The Spanish bull is ready for the red flags up there !

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Today's game was likely to be Adrian's last game as a West Ham player.
For a free signing he has been a brilliant signing for us. He was superb under Big Sam and Bilic's first season in charge. And a real unsung hero behind the scenes helping integrating a lot of our new signings from abroad. Taking care of them and keeping them happy. A true professional and a great personality who really respects the fans.
Will never forget 'that' penalty against Everton in the Cup.
Thank you for everything you have done Adrian!
I shall have a pint of San Miguel in your honour

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Is it for definite he's leaving? Has Pellegrini commented on whether he wishes to offer him a new contract and he wants to stay? He's still a bloody good Keeper regardless and someone will be lucky to get him. We should be trying to keep him, I'd understand if he didn't.
Either way, I think the world of him and think he represented West Ham brilliantly and always gave his all. The Everton shoot out will live long in the memory.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
The way he was after the match coming over to the fans it looked like it was his last time in a Hammers shirt. As much as I appreciate Fab has been fantastic this season I did have a tear in my eye.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
A great serving who deserves better than to be sitting on the bench.
Out of sheer deference to a club legend, I would rather us sign a reliable journeyman keeper to back up Fab, and let him go to somewhere he’ll play 40 games a year and might even get a few European nights.
His service has been unwavering, as has his loyalty. During his career at WHU he has been dropped for several other keepers, and always made his way back.
