They're the same players who played like they had no confidence in him last term...

Is it a result of Adrian being reinstated or the defenders being drilled by our coaching team and having a specific role in the team and fulfilling that role?

Whatever it is it needs to keep going...it's working a treat

Stoke didn’t have a shot on target yesterday.

Let’s not forget Adrian was dropped for Randolph last season as he was shocking. It’s too early to start saying he is the messiah when we have been defending so much better the last 2 weeks.

2 shots on our goal (on target) in 3 games...its fair to say he has been protected extremely well

He did have a blinder against City

Came from the OS match centre

Unbelievable...

We've had 13 in those games

I wonder what Moyes will do for the cup games. I suppose Hart will play, but it seems odd dropping a member of the team who's been part of the cup run.

I think irrespective of our improved defensive displays he seems to understand our defenders better than joe and rightly so. What I prefer about Adrian is his overall decision making. When to come out, when to stay oh and catching crossed balls rather than needlessly punching them out of the area. Why?!? That infuriates me. Also I think his overall shot stopping is better as there have been many make-able saves that joe has failed on and the one against Brighton where just before HT the ball barely goes in the top left hand corner and hart decides he doesn't want to move his feet in order to make the save look better stands out for me.

So to sum up the 3 clean sheets have had pretty much nothing to do with Adrian.

Adrian wasn't shocking last season, Randy was.

Some of the comments on here, seems to me certain posters are hoping Adrian fails because they simply cant except the fact that Hart has been a total cock up of a signing and has been pretty woeful in goal and deserved to be dropped.

Or that Adrian has come in and done really well, just like he normally does and has played a major part in us conceding just the 2 goals in the 4 games he has played since regaining his rightful number 1 spot.

Agreed, had Randy been kept in and Adrian remained on the bench there was no chance we would have finished 11th, we may well now be playing championship football. That is how bad Randolph was.

Adrian played a massive part in our climb from a relegation battle to ending 11th, and is now playing a massive role in our overall improvement of performance of late.

Brothernero...is that childish insult directed at me?

If so, debate my points rather than throwing around blanket cowardly insults...

If not, call those certain posters out... let them defend their opinion

I don't see anyone wanting him to fail...

Seems criminal that we are paying Hart 120k p/w (or whatever it was), ludicrous decision

Are we paying all of his wages or are Man City paying some of them as well?

I know he is on a huge weekly wage, but it makes the signing even worse if we are paying all of his wages.

Shouldn't be dropped. I'm against all this rotating Keepers malarkey only so the other one can play games without merit. It certainly ain't like an outfield player where real fatigue can become a factor. If a Keeper deserves to be in as Adrian currently does, then don't change if it ain't broken.

I like Hart a lot but we are not here as a Club for his career, the Club always comes first and Adrian should be starting to keep the continuity and confidence defensively up, especially after working so hard recently to get them all up.to scratch with a few clean sheets since he's been back in.

Were you saying this when Adrian played the cup games, you have to keep your second goalkeeper match fit and motivated, cup games are a good way of doing just that.

This is a mental statement.

The goalkeeper is part of the defence. Of couse we have tightened up and cut out mistakes, but defenders need confidence in their goalkeeper

A goalkeepers job is not 'just' about saving shots. It is about organisation and dialogue, commanding the box, positioning and narrowing angles to make the opposition job harder

Adrian was harshly treated last year. One high profile error against stoke and he was out. Then he sat and watched Rudolph make error afte error until he was finally reinstated. We then looked much more solid, won a couple of games and moved up the table. His reward? To be replaced again in the starting line up this season

Adrian has his faults, but he has charisma and team spirit in spades and deserves all the plaudits he is currently getting. If I was him though I woukd be looking for a move in rhe Summer as no doubt he was be made the scapegoat again soon enough
