The fact that you would be hard pressed to name 10 better keepers makes it self explanatory...

De gea - Better than Adrian
Courtois- Maybe a tad better, but then when Chelsea f**k up so does he at times....
Lloris - Overrated, not better than Adrian
Cech - Been a 5 clangers+ keeper for too long, not better than Adrian
Any of Man City's three - Not better than Adrian
Pickford - Not better than Adrian
Butland - Not better than Adrian
Forster -
Either of Liverpools - No, no way

I think you need to take those Claret and Blue specs off seriously.

Adrian is an average keeper who is loved because he runs half the pitch to celebrate and scored a penalty.

are you being serious or taking the mick?

Ederson could possibly be the best keeper in the league.. he is running De Gea as close as he can this season..

LLoris is having an off season but is better than adrian
Pickford is better and so is Butland

beggers belief... seriously cant believe I woke up to read adrian is better than Man cities 34 million pound keeper who has been outstanding this season..

Sure, but Butland? I appreciate that he's behind the most porous defence in the league, but he's not better than Adrian.

Those two and most others are realistically much of a muchness.

As are West Ham, which is what makes keeper and club such a sensible fit, for the foreseeable.

pre injury butland was the brightest english prospect goalkeeper wise and would have taken the number 1 off hart in no time

that injury set him back.. once he gets in a team that isnt pony you will see how good he is again

id love to invest in butland

That's an interesting view, that he needs to be in a decent team before he can shine. Obviously makes a lot of sense, but who, in terms of the decent lot at the top of the table would splash out on the keeper who has let in the most goals this season?

Genuine question.

As to the idea of his coming to West Ham, I see he in fact made his debut for Birmingham around the same time that the goblins took over our club. Suggests to me that they and he were at that club at the same time, when he was a very young prospect.

Wonder whether that would sway him towards signing for them, or heavily away?

Everton did with Pickford and he has proven a shrewd purchase

Butland is the best English keeper in the league

Regardless of how good he is compared to other Premier League 'keepers, he is a professional for whom wearing our shirt actually means something. A player's passion and desire to play for West Ham means a lot more to me than any 'great' player just wanting to collect his paycheck or further his career at our expense.

Both over rated to high heaven due to being English, Pickford made a lot of mistake last year and to me doesn't push the ball wide or off when he saves thus creating rebounds

Even some stoke fans were questioning Butland recently, again decent keeper nothing more really like the media want you to believe we have a top class in the English ranks

Pickford has conceded more goals than Julian Speroni.

Dead serious, pal.

Ederson is playing in a team where Darren Randolph would look World Class.

Loris is incredibly overrated, four to five mistakes a season that lead directly to goals despite that team in front of him.

And yes, he's better than the two English keepers mentioned, did you see Pickford in the Merseyside derby?

Because Bravo was awful and he doesn't fancy Hart. I'm sure Ederson is decent, he is, but it's not hard in that team. Look at his keepers at Barca, never that amazing, never needed to be. He inherited Neuer at Bayern and he is world class, but, again didn't need to be in a Pep Powerball team.

Get those specs off son. If Ederson joined us we'd be a better team for it. How could you possibly doubt that?

I like Adrian but there are clearly 7-8 better keepers in the league. Some of the bias on this thread is ridiculous.

Real Madrid are targeting Courtois as one of their main summer signings....yet Adrian is better :P

Every keeper from the top 6 bar Mignolet is better than Adrian.

One keeper I’m surprised no one has mentioned is Schmeichel, if Liverpool want to use the Coutinho money wisely they should make him their next priority.

Then you have Pickford who was excellent last year and despite the number of goals conceded by Everton this season I can’t remember one being obviously his fault. I doubt you’ll hear a single everton fan questioning his transfer.

You also have Bultand who has been set back by the serious injury he suffered but again very rarely makes a mistake.

After that I’d probably say Adrian, Foster and Gomez (see his performance against us) are probably the next best keepers in the league.
