Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
I think Adrian has done well to earn his place, however I'd like to point out that if Hart had conceded the goal vs Gosling a bit deal would have been made out of "the dive to his left"

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Let in a soft freekick Saturday (a pass from 30 yards?) and then the first today.
First half today he could do little right - flapping at everything, unable to catch to save his life, poor distribution that came straight back to him.
If Hart had made those errors / put in that performance people would be up in arms in my view - Why? because they have...
He was much better in the second - couldn't do much for either goal and made some good saves.
I would and wouldn't be surprised if he was replaced.

this is what annoys me about signing hart.. clearly we have 2 very decent keepers.. personally I think Hart should get the nod but adrain has earned it now so im backing him.. however every single goal there is some berk that will say the other would have saved that

A more confident keeper than either Adrian or Hart would have come for the original cross for the first imo.Lil Joe 17 wrote:I think Adrian has done well to earn his place, however I'd like to point out that if Hart had conceded the goal vs Gosling a bit deal would have been made out of "the dive to his left"

Adrian number one, don't mess with the goalkeeper position, I've rarely, if ever seen it work. Sides that do that usually go down.

Which berk has said Hart would have made the saves Adrian let in?mumbles87 wrote:this is what annoys me about signing hart.. clearly we have 2 very decent keepers.. personally I think Hart should get the nod but adrain has earned it now so im backing him.. however every single goal there is some berk that will say the other would have saved that
Blindly backing or accounting him for blame where there is potential blame? He was rooted to his line for the first today rendering him a spectator... in fact he made quick a few mistakes in the first half. He did make some really good saves in the second half and look much more assured. The conditions? Maybe... a bollocking from Moyes? Maybe
He has bought a bit of leeway by recent form... but another game where he lets in a soft goal against Brom (3 on the trot that would be) questions will be asked when we have England's number 1 in the wings. Understandably so...

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
He is not the answer in goal either. Pretty competent shot stopper, but just about every goalkeeper playing in four divisions of the English League is that. It is all the other aspects of goalkeeping where is is flawed

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Adrián and his supporters have had their fun. It's now time to drop his arse back onto the bench and put England's #1 back in goal until the end of the season. I think Joe should also be made captain for the duration. Although I can't see that happening.

If he puts Hart in and he ****'s up, the crowd will slaughter him.
Not saying it's right, but loanees always get it in a relegation battle. Understandable as he'd be offski the next morning.

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
One of the least of our worries in the grand scheme of things. Don't even think about dropping him right now.
The mad b*stard continues to keep us in games and at best keep clean sheets which isn't something I can say about Hart these days. Harts been nothing short than a liability for us.

Still do. That slip was unfortunate. Didn't do anything else wrong.Metal Hammer wrote:I seem to recall a lot of people wanted us to sign Bergovic

You've just described De Gea(okay increase the shot stopping), who I think is overrated too.Puff Daddy wrote:He is not the answer in goal either. Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
This is developing into a debate between which of two very average goalkeepers should claim the number 1 spot. You need to stop watching them merely saving shots. That is the easiest part of goalkeeping and all goalkeepers playing at any level are competent enough at that.
There is no difference between them in shot stopping. Adrian has the edge over positioning, Hart is marginally the better in commanding his 6 yard area, Adrian, has slightly the better footwork, Hart is slightly the better at organising his defence, but both are pretty poor at kicking and neither are very sound at dealing with crosses into the box, but if I had to choose between them, based purely on that alone, Hart would get the nod from me. But overall, what we have is two very flawed goalkeepers. Problem is, however, when clubs scout GK's, what they see is the saves they make and nothing else, but what they do not observe, is the one's they don't, when that is what they should be observing

Re: Adrián San Miguel del Castillo
Before deciding whether to drop Adrián, let us consider:
1. How long Hart was number one for,
2. How many mistakes he made in that period,
3. How long Adrián has been number one for,
4. How many mistakes he has made in that period.
Maybe I am biased but the answer seems obvious to me.
