nothing is going to happen until these clowns leave.
we need big money to buy the bowl and rebuild it for football.

why is the bobby moore murial only there for this season ?

little things they could do to make it more homely in the meantime :

1. claret outer walls, too much white around the place
2. seats to be claret
3. concourse to be claret
4. more flags around the place
5. better stewards
6. improve concourse with permanent bars not these pop up ones.

all the above would improve the feel but wont be allowed

so we are stuffed until someone buys us !
no chance of the world class retractable close to the pitch seats at the moment.

Shame Slav didn't say that when his days were obviously numbered.

Bilic was never a fan of the stadium move, when he first became our manager he knew the importance of having a tight home stadium like The Boleyn.

Legacy option 12

60,000 seats

Excavate below lower bowl to create additional seats closer to the playing field

It's a good point HH, excavate 3 metres and you'd get around a dozen more rows in closer to the pitch. However when this was put to madam Brady she said that they couldn't do it because of contamination. Can anyone explain what that means?

The Muller Athletics event takes place at the LS on July 21st & 22nd. Given that it takes 2 to 3 weeks to replace the seats, pitch, West Ham signage etc and the PL starts on 11th August, that means the team potentially has a week to settle back in. What if we had made it to the Europa League which would have meant playing in July?

@Hamburger read this http://www.kumb.com/story.php?id=124796

The reason I made my post is because the toxic waste has always been used as an excuse as to why we can't dig down.

Yet the OPLC still had digging down as an option long after the waste was reported in 2008.

According to that article written in June 2010

"it is thought that no further development work will be allowed on the site of the Olympic Park due to the inherent danger of exposing 100 tonnes of radioactive waste lying just below the surface in a highly-populated urban area"

Yet the very next month the OPLC outlined a business case for digging down. Why would they do that if it was impossible?

It's another blag. I called bull**** on it a long time ago as a convenient excuse and reckon it could be something to be looked at again if they really wanted too. Problem always is they don't wanna spend money if they can help it.

When asked 'Is your dad looking into the possibility of buying the London Stadium outright in the future?' Sullivan told Sport Bible: "I cannot comment on that, but it is certainly a possibility."

once we build the new ground inside the bowl we should turn the top tier and current concourse into a kind of indoor traditional east end high street, pie and mash shops, bookies, few pubs etc

^^^^^^

One of the better ideas I've heard Ben.

That way, it wouldn't matter that you can't see from the upper tier because you are not meant too. There is still room for a 50,000 seater rectangular ground inside the upper tier. IIRC someone once showed an image that showed the Emirates Stadium fits inside the upper tier of the OS.

in all seriousness you probably could have a cinema, bars, hotels and all sorts around the current concourse and top tier then build inside with the money from the businesses setting up there
