Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
The landlord could say no deal. You can make do with the broken white one or we can renegotiate your tenancy agreement whereby you will pay substantially more rent but we will sort out a new washing machine for you. We might even give you a new sofa if we come to a mutually beneficial new agreement. It is the only way the landlord can force the tenant to the negotiating table by refusing all concessions. Keep paying cheap rent to live in a hovel where you have no tenant rights to make major improvements or you can pay a bit more and we'll fix your gaff up. That is how I see it anyway.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I see that the stadium owners are putting the green outside to pitch back even though the club apparently won a legal argument for claret.
More childish tit for tat from both parties I guess to the detriment of our club.
This is not a stadium knocking article as it is what it is but be nice if they can get some details right.

Is this correct. - 400k to install the green rug each season? - bloody hell.

Don’t see what the big deal is with navy blue carpet to be honest. I certainly don’t associate navy blue with spurs - their predominant colour is white. Navy isn’t a WHU colour, but if it gives a contrast to the green, and the green is really causing an issue, then it’s better than nothing.

C&H had a story that the stadium operators wanted to install a blue surround to fit in with their branding but the club want claret.Mega Ron wrote:It's not blue though is it?
It's green
I'd like to be in a stadium that doesn't require a surround at all.

All these costs, it's inevitable that the three stooges will end up taking it off their hands cheap.

I think this is a possibility. What I don’t believe will happen is that the owners will do any major alterations to make it a football stadium.somerset-hammer wrote:All these costs, it's inevitable that the three stooges will end up taking it off their hands cheap.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
I received a letter from the club yesterday saying if people continue to stand in blocks 216 and 217 they will close off the first few rows closest to the away supporters.
Ridiculous

Of course they won't, once they take ownership, I would expect them to put the club up for sale.James P wrote:

Not quite on the same level as the letter sent out by Barnsley, is it?

The problem they have with people standing is that it's technically illegal. It's a thorny issue with many clubs, because people in caertain sections at every ground prefer to stand. I remember a few years back a very public spat at Old trafford between the club's hierachy and a section of supporters over this issue
