facts remain that the LS is good for concerts and athletics but poor for football !

The whole package is poor for football fans
long walk to stadium
soulless surrounding area
few local traders
corporate rip off inside and out
poor stewards
poor seating
too far from pitch
poor concourse
poor matchday sound system and DJ
stop/go after match
poor team last 2 seasons

Potentially coming soon to a stadium in Stratford, season tickets/entry systems with biometrics and photo ID:
Members discussed the option of photo cards, level numbers on season tickets, potential colour codes card for different quadrants for ease and speed of seat location by stewards. It was noted that other
clubs are also looking into photo cards.

WH will consider the options and also suggested Biometrics, ticketing on mobile devices, making
forwarding tickets easier and smart ticketing. They need to evaluate evidence and understand what
would be needed to implement such a procedure.
It was suggested that Steve Riley (LS185 consultant) look into biometrics for long term and
quadrant colours and levels for short term.

JN added that West Ham had revenue protection teams and suggested they bolster as this would help.
He recapped that both a short term solution and long term strategy is needed.

WHU confirmed that they will work on the short and long term solution.

Other bits in the minutes include the aftermath of the 15th March emergency SAG, as well as the attendance of the Southampton match, an admittance that the CCTV system already needs an upgrade and a general lack of insight and awareness of how the issues discussed actually affect those who attend matches.

43,000 attendance for the Southampton game

I'd love the real figures for every home game we've played in the bowl

not a single full house I'll bet - even the first premier league game v Bournemouth wasn't full.

Steps taken so far need to be more effective in preventing persistent standing. It was suggested that the front three rows be taken out for safety. West Ham has banned some of the ringleaders but this hasn’t stopped the problem.
f*** 'em. I'll stand every game of football I go to. I welcome anyone else who wants to do that, to join us in the BML.

^^^ It's only persistent standing in the upper tier they are concerned about - seems as though they are not bothered about the lower tiers.

For attending one events in the warmer months most things in and around the venue are much more enjoyable to experience, even the stadium is better utilised with the concourses basically being the whole outer ring externally in addition to the actual internal one making it a far more pleasant environment.

Attending fortnightly during colder and often wet weather then there really is not much to enjoy and I can understand why for some it is an unappealing place to go to, unlike for the summer events the stadium facilities are far less comfortable to enjoy especially the concourse with no real protection from the cold and rain at times.

When it comes to the actual stadium it simply is not a football stadium and if some people feel that leaving a perfectly adequate football ground to go to a multi-purpose venue is a bad move then I think that is a view I can appreciate, no matter however it is dressed up for me the stadium is a disappointment and fails to come close to what I feel was promised or we should have expected from a World Class football stadium.

Anyway whats is done is done and the one real buzz I have got from the move is that I never thought in my lifetime that I would see us playing in front of home crowds of 57,000 and obviously that would never had happened without moving.

I've seen Foo Fighters play all kinds of venues all over the world and Saturday night at the bowl was one of the best gigs of their's I've seen.

Does not change the fact that stadium isn't suitable for football.

So only 8000 more than Upton Park and about what UP would have held with a re-developed East Stand,

Was it worth moving?

That seems to be the motivation for everything connected with club which in itself is not a problem for me but constantly misleading the supporters in order to do it is.

Suggest a different demographic is to be moved there? Is that referring to just those blocks or the whole stadium....

A different demographic. Imagine being the **** that wrote that.

Funny ain’t it? Racist, sexist, disabled, sexual orientation discrimination all rightly unlawful but when it comes to ‘demographics’ fire away.

‘Banned the ringleaders’...

We are run by a bunch of ****ers of indeterminate demography.

I stand towards the back of one of the sections mentioned in the SAG report and not once have me, or any of the 25+ people in the group been told to sit down - granted that stewards would need an oxygen mask to get to the top (I certainly do after a few half time bevvies.

This is social cleansing - pure and simple :thdn:

92% renew, the rest go to the waiting list.

The board have got it sewn up acting how they do, why would they change it?

Because only 43,000 bothered to turn up for the Southampton game .

If 10k have renewed their £99 tickets it's easily cancelled out if 1,000 don't renew in the 1966 club.

The real test will be next season when the 3 year deals run out in West stand. Finding people willing to pay £300 a season is easier than finding people to spend £2k and more.

Even if 5000 tickets were unsold each week, it only equates to say £2.5m over a season. As long as the owners spend just enough to stay on the Premier League TV gravy train, I doubt empty seats are that much of a concern.

the empty seats are one of the many driving forces behind the reluctance to agree to an increase in capacity. ingress/egress has rarely (if ever) been tested at full capacity as it is so lumping another few thousand on without knowing what is required to handle those numbers is an obvious concern.

we're averaging around the low 40,000s of actual attendance as I understand it.

Empty seats are inevitable when most are st seats. The Southampton game was on over easter. I was away the weekend and my son-in-law and grandson were with me. Us three can't have been unique

that's as maybe but there's plenty of games last season with similar attendance

43,000 made up of approx 3,000 away fans and 35,000 West Ham fans and then all the tourist plus 2's and fans of other clubs who manage somehow to get tickets.

we could win the FA cup, premier league, champions league, I'll never forgive those 3 scum

they murdered our club and got away with it.
