Went there for the first time this season last night after giving up my season ticket in the summer, still an absolute ****hole.

Those Stop Go lollypop men last night annoyed me even more than usual.
Sick of not being able to just walk away from the ground when I've got a two-hour journey home.

Stratford International. If there's a better route, please let me know. I can't stand in that queue any longer :lol:sharphammer wrote:Where are you heading back too? the lollipop men are easily avoidable?

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Stewards are still letting in away fans into home ends as guy in Stoke shirt went in through turnstile J last night Bobby Moore end, thought this had been sorted??
Fair play to the boys in blue as they were walking past outside & clocked it too, had a word with the steward on duty and then asked them to be let in so they could go find him!!

I know not to me but, we go through the gap in temporary fence to Carpenters Road. Annoyingly they have moved the first lollipop men to before this at the last couple of games, making them harder to avoid.sharphammer wrote:

I almost cracked and went last night but thought na I hate that place, so watched at home on my paid for stream. The US commentators made the usual remarks about it being an audience and not a 'crowd', distance to the stands etcMoxy wrote:Went there for the first time this season last night after giving up my season ticket in the summer, still an absolute ****hole.
Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
To avoid the lollipop men just go down under the railway bridge and up into the high st. If you're going to Strarford Int. just walk to Stratford High St station and jump the DLR for 2 stops. We walked this way last night and were in the Black Bull within 10 mins of leaving.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Just read an article from Zaha where he describes the relationship he has with the clubs support:
"I feel like Crystal Palace is just totally different," he says. "I feel like it's proper support from proper fans. Nowadays you don't really get clubs like that, where it's proper support through and through. It's not tourists who come and watch and don't know any songs, do you know what I mean?"
I think this highlights what we have lost since the move. Can we imagine a player coming through our ranks describing such a relationship when not engineered by a PR machine?

London Stadium set to miss out on hosting Cricket World Cup matches
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/ ... up-matches
While the proposed outfield at the venue met the minimum boundary sizes for a one-day international, hosting cricket would have involved a costly transformation and required a successful test event this summer.
However, one official has told the Guardian that at this stage plans to host cricket at the London Stadium during the World Cup look to be “a thing of the past”.
A previous report in the Times suggested the undersoil heating used by the current tenants West Ham United created a problem for the proposed drop-in pitches.
Our fault!

Anyone know the shelf life of the current wrap around the stadium?
Just been looking at juventus' stadium and it makes the outside of ours like amateur at best.
Oh yeah, thanks for the LED screen wrap promised GSB. Another broken promise

It's only about 150 or so of them that sing in their ground anyway though.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
In my little dream world I'm imagining that this announcement is the prelude to a takeover by that rich fella from America and him purchasing the stadium. All of a sudden NFL will go into partnership with us and they'll refurb the stadium for purely NFL and finance a 50k football stadium all the while poor old Spurs sink into a financial hole unable to pay for their new stadium due to a breakdown in promised USA funding and resort to playing their games in the 20% of what's left at WHL.
