In my opinion, the only thing the club has done right with regards the move is the beer contract, it's not cheap, but lets be honest, we're at a football match not on an all night drink up with a lock in. We've never had as much choice and we ain't paying any more than Chelsea, Arsenal or Spurs supporters pay for the same brands.
The contract with Henieken is certainly better than having to drink piss water Carlsberg which was the case for the latter years at Upton Park

Pour and sell 4 pints at £5 a pop... server takes the £20 note and sticks it in their pocket
Slightly harder with separate pourers and servers as it is now but used to be a problem over UP and other events back in the day
my mate used to work at upton park in the 60s when we were at school. although he was only 15 he was 6'4" tall so used to work in the bar. He used to pocket about 20% of the takings! my daughter used to work in the Bobby Moore kiosk sometime in the early nineties when she was about 16 or so. She used to get to watch the 2nd half usually.
Getting a drink is far easier as the LS. The price is nothing unusual. It is also easier to piss it out later. I understand some people don’t like the LS but the beer arrangements are far better than UP.
We stay behind after the game now ,£4.40 a pint and lots of outlets serving and grandson joins in with other kids playing football on the concourse .
Wait an hour and it's lit easier trip home.
Might not do it when it's really cold though .
don't drink it at half time as not enough time to queue get a beer and enjoy it before the second half . also begrudge giving more money to the LS or gsb. have a few in the carpenters and one after whilst crowds clear.
there’s an easy answer for those who hate queuing forever to get a beer berore kick off : that Cornish Pastie stall. The queues are always a fraction of the Heineken ones.
The cider drinkers in our group have to trundle off and get their own though.

failing that bring a flask in !
I’ve taken to going down the bovrill route at half time. It’s like being a kid again.
I might start shouting “silly sausage” and having a piddle in the stand when it gets too cold, go the whole hog & recreate the full-on 1980’s kid experience.
I also have a Bovril. Shame there’s no Waggon Wheels.
They charge £2.50 for a small water so it’s dearer than the beer. Can’t take one in and nobody in their right mind would drink from the taps, so it’s a captive market when it’s hot.
I often take a miniature in and lace a coffee. The stewards’ search is so poor that you could get a crate in if you really wanted.
Never understood the need to queue for ages to buy a pint of piss in plastic.
Bringing the seats near to the pitch would literally create so much more space for more tourists. There wouldn't be a gap at the back only more rows of seats
