HMRC have already been alerted to this potential deal. In fact I tipped them off.

Most of the bigger teams hoover up promising youngsters. You've only got to look at how many the likes of Chelsea have got out on loan. We are by no means alone.

What I will say is that the club has a poor record in the way it tries to over egg things to try and muddy the waters when it comes to player investment. Coming out with "we made 11 signings last window" etc when in that 11 are players no where near ready for the first team.

Seeing how he got ridiculed for years about his "limited ability" and yet this season, we've had Calleri and Zaza who are not fit to lace Carltons boots........but they do have exotic sounding surnames. :fsake:

So aside from one poster that has said he is going to cost £16 million, is there anywhere else that has stated this?

Good player.

£16mil (if true) is a snip. Bite off whoever's hand we need to.

Where are you getting your valuations from?! Bournemouth will not sell Josh King for 15m haha. And City will want more than 20m for Iheancho, regardless of whether he is a bit part player.

To sign all three of those strikers you'd need nearer 80m. Brentford are entitled to a portion of Gray's transfer fee and Burnley wouldn't entertain anything less than 20m. Iheanacho would cost at least 30m and King would be the same. We'll go for Defoe and Negredo.

Three more days till we can announce we aren't picking up his option. In 2 years someone will dig out this thread as he has a half decent la liga season.

Get shut ....

Hopefully he goes to Palace or somewhere

The club is already feeding us information about how expensive strikers are. Grrreat.
Can't wait to hear just what fantastic piece of business XXX or YYY is, when they sign for free/on loan

A bit closer to the truth.

Or from the boards perspective a cheaper transfer for someone who knows the squad, has had limited game time this season but has got into good positions, worked hard and shown poor finishing (which can be trained)

You mean like Carlton Cole Okorie?

Love the man though. Scored some crackers and the passage of time has proved that he was better than most that followed (especially if you add fitness and personality to playing the game).
