With the way Hull played us off the park at home & Leicester new lease of life, I'm expecting just a draw at home at best. Swansea just 2 wins away from us, that's how bad it's been.

In the long term, i think collapsing like a stack of cards right now could be the best thing possible.

We drew to a solid West Brom, a very lucky Watford, lost the league leaders, and lost to a Bournemouth side desperate for points.

Before that we had impressive wins against Palace, Southampton, and Middlesbrough.

Nothing to worry about here.

Karanka has just left Boro...

Not sure who is available for them to get in now really at this stage? Obviously the owner has panicked but with the manager slagging off his own fans it was perhaps on the cards.

What do you get if you take Tony Pulis and remove all the set piece goals? You get fired

Does nobody else think we're now in deep sh*t? It was bad enough before but now without Reid and Antonio for a month and Obiang for the season I genuinely don't know where our next point is coming from! I am worried

I think we will be fine, cutting it closer than we should, but the next few games will be crucial. DOn't fancy the last 3 home games to get some points out of

We are 100% safe. Them 3 bottom teams aren't getting out now. We could lose to Hull and I would still be confident that Hull wouldn't get over 33 points.

Accepting that I'm a glass half empty man I'm not so confident.
It's got a 'fate's conspiring against us' feel about it.

I agree that those at the bottom are unlikely to rally but relying on that is thin ice for us to be skating on.

Not easy to see where the couple of wins we need are going to come from but a point at Hull would make a big difference. With the large difference in goal difference Hull would have only 8 games to make up 10 points on us.
Similar with Sunderland and to a lesser extent Swansea.
Draws in those three games would be worth more than say a win at Arsenal.

Couple of wins a few weeks back and people were talking about finishing 7th, couple of losses and we are now getting relegated. Just keep the faith, enjoy the entertaining football and don't panic!

I think we're going to be seeing some pretty tense and ugly Allardyce type performances of the next few games!

we need to stay calm. Reid will be replaced by kouyate and obiang by fernandez. There is no replacement for Iron Mic though.

we need to be up for a battle against Hull, sunderland and swansea. 2 wins and a draw are possible. Arsenal is not a game I look forward to and see a 3-0 defeat. It comes in between Hull and swansea which are massive for us so I expect to see squad rotation for this game.

Hull up first and 3 pts needed

Team for hull swansea sunderland
adrian
byram kouyate fonte masuaka
fegouli noble fernandez lanzini
carroll ayew

only fonte noble and carroll are slow players. Nobes will have had a rest, fonte has the experience and carroll will be recharged.

Arsenal will see changes in preparation for swansea game. another must win game at home.

I am the most doom-laden pessimistic old git when it comes to our club . . . every silver lining has a cloud etc . . . and even I am quite happy to say that the thought of relegation is not one of my concerns this season.

One win and a couple of draws. . Even with our new injuries and poor defending that should be possible.
