Anyone aware of any progress on the pop up venue for match days? I really hope it happens - think it's a great idea!

Was in there a couple of Sundays back along with mates commemorating a good friend of ours who died earlier this year. Just four lads in there watching the cricket and grand prix. If it's open for that on a Sunday you'd think it would be open for our matches.

ps - the view out of the back door looking towards what little is left of the ground was ****ing horrible. All gone except for one small part of the South West corner including one of the MDF towers minus a bit of its cladding. Like some ruined castle in a fantasy film. Even that's gone since I've been told.

Thanks to a significant number of people who have become members of the club. The funds are very welcome. Please visit http://www.whufcsc.com and join to help us save the club.

The club hosted a very successful Boleyn Brick Salvage day yesterday. Many thanks to Donna / Debs / Jonjo and the rest of the team for making the day of the many fans who came along to collect their bricks. There were tears and smiles in equal measure !!!

The commemorative bricks were passed to the team when it was felt the builders could not just smash them down. Giving up their free time Donna and the team along with the HSC have tried to contact people in an effort to return the bricks. People have come from all over the country and abroad to collect their brick. No costs are involved but fans have kindly donated to the Bobby Moore Cancer Research fund. I understand about £700 was raised yesterday.

West Ham were not interested in this exercise. Well done to Barratts, Donna & her team with help in hosting the events from the HSC. Ours fans have hearts of gold. Poor darts by West Ham United (again) - they missed a trick here for sure.

How hard would it have been for ONE person from the club to have gone along? It doesn't even need to have been Gold or Sullivan (although if healthy enough I think it's at an event like this that Gold is at his best - smiling, shaking hands, posing for photos, reminiscing about the good old days, etc). Poor darts indeed.
