"Don’t get me started on West Ham, squatting in their big fancy (free gift from the tax payer) stadium next door like the massive bloke on the train who takes up two seats and uses up all the oxygen."

And this is the reason why I and so many others couldn't give a **** if Orient sink without a trace.

Sad that it has come to this, as back in the 70s/80s many WH fans would go and watch Orient on a free Saturday.

In Orient's time of need you could've relied on us for a pre-season friendly this summer to help with debts, sold out Brisbane Road. We would've loaned players, and many disgruntled Hammers with the new ground and are looking for their Saturday fix of football would've come to watch and boost attendances.

But that died a death the day Hearn and the vast majority of O's bought into his bull**** and got into bed with Tottenham over the Olympic Stadium row.

P.S. As a Harlow man, the joke about Harlow Orient can remain just that, we don't want you here either :D

Exactly.

Watching that YouTube video I just thought - back in the day is this also how the true fans of Leyton FC felt when Orient rocked up from Clapton, stole their fanbase and caused their long-term demise?

Thing is our problems are all down to one man running us into the ground. It is not to do with WH moving near us. not attracting floating support , getting players on loan or wanting friendlies as this would only help the current regime which is exactly what we don't want to do. The collections etc are in case we have to start again which depending on what happens on June 12th is quite likely...Anyway its been done to death now so I wish you good luck for the rest of the season and enjoy your boat trip....

There was a time when after decades of having a soft spot for the Os I couldn't have cared less about them. That was all down to Hearn, etc. Now I can't help but feel sorry for them - I wouldn't wish what's happened to them on any fan base not even Millwall's or Sheffield United's..

It'll be a very long road back I suspect but good luck to Orient Slacker, Brisbane Road, etc. Just try to get your lot not to jump on any Hearn style anti-West Ham band wagons again please

I hear the O's may be getting taken over by Nigel Travis, the CEO of Dunkin Donuts, maybe alongside Kent Treague, the owner of Gold Capital Creek LLC... Any truth to this?

Agreed with the general sentiment, I used to look out for Orients result and knew a lot of hammers who would go to Brisbane Road on off weekends. However since the OS row with Hearn trying to stop it and getting into bed with Spurs I've gone right off of them.

I can't say I'm even sad they've dropped out of the league. Hopefully the Daggers will come back next season.

Local derby next year will be against Ebbsfleet, just been promoted via the play-offs and managed by former Hammer Daryl McMahon .

Dagenham and Redbridge about 10 miles closer and Borehamwood a bit nearer, should pull in some decent crowds.

Been spoke about for ages. Nigel is a ST holder I believe from Woodford. Fingers crossed but wouldn't believe anything until it actually happens and then I would recheck it twice :)

Oh the writer of that article could not resist a dig at West Ham. I have some sympathy with Orient but this sort of rubbish can erode it very quickly. :x

January and April 2017 SAG meeting minutes for Leyton Orient:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ing-983616

Makes for grim reading the April extraordinary meeting:

There are questions about Paramedic and St John’s
Ambulance attendance, which organisations have asked for
payment on their outstanding bills by Thursday 13th April before
attending any further home matches.

ME stated that LB Waltham Forest is pledged and committed to
support and help the LOFC in any way it can, and offered to
underwrite the costs of staffing the home match on 17th April by
loan to pay directly for the costs of staff on this day, at an
anticipated amount of around £5000. ME will write a letter of
support to the Club owner outlining this offer

What are the likeliest situations mate?

Know some seem to wish the worst on Orient because of the Athletic Stadium move, but hope all ends well for the O's.

Good luck.

So will he now sell?

Let's hope so but I believe there maybe more smaller creditors :eh: It's far too complicated for me to comprehend...Unless he sells we are done for IMO...No squad , no backroom staff etc and all about 7 weeks before the season starts..
