Tbf they wanted him to sign a new contract..

Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero? He's a bit **** isn't he. Definitely not a centre half
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?
Also doesn't help that he's a terrible player
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?Only at West Ham could someone so poor getting a thread like this....
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?I appreciate the positive intent of this thread, but christ is Nordveit ****. The sooner we get rid the better, IMO.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?Had a better game than half the team last night, and he's still getting dug out. At least pick the right times to hammer him.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?Loved the commentary for his own goal 'what a goal!'

Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?
Jesus fuckng Christ. He was shambolic for the vast majority of the game, well out of his depth. Yet still people defend him. He was shocking last night, bar a well taken finish that Dowie would have been proud of.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero? He's useless
And still better than Tore, Calleri, Zaza and Masuaku
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?8 pages on a Championship level footballer
...on a good day.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?Having seen the goals, I'm glad no one has blamed him for playing Sterling onside for Manchester City's 3rd.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?
This bloke makes John Pantsil look like ****ing Cafu.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?Turns as slow as Noble which is a big handicap for a defensive player.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?
Not that I think he's a worldbeater by any means and he hasn't played all that much better at CDM i'll give you that, but he's being played out of position AND has been asked to mark Rashford and Sterling - two of the fastest wingers in the league in the last two games. It's not his fault we bungled it up in the summer and don't have a RB in the squad. If you put Pirlo in his prime at RB against those two, he'd get mugged off too. Take it out on the incompetent management who didn't buy a first team RB. It's fair to say he's been ****, because he has, but at least acknowledge partly why.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?
Exactly this. He's in a new country, in a new team, being played out of position, and 'fans' are on his back after a handful of games (he's certainly not been a regular starter anyway). Perhaps if he gets a regular run in his actual position, we might see him do better. It's symptomatic of the largely problem which is that we haven't signed an experience right back, despite needing one for about 5 years.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?Did Tony Henry and the rest of our recruitment team take last summer off or something?
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?
They played Fifa and Football Manager
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?
Some tried to make him some sort of cult hero too...whats he doing now ? Assistant manager at Kaiser Chiefs...scary !
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?
No. He's **** at this level full stop. I don't judge him just against the likes of Sterling, Rashford, I judge his footballing ability overall in every single position he's played in to date since he's played in the claret and blue and bar one decent performance away at Leicester, I fail to see the Prem level footballer in him week in, week out. There's my ****ing acknowledgement and I desperately want him gone. Feel free to carry on making the best of excuses for him though or maybe because you feel a little more protective over him because he's from your neck of the woods which is understandable. As for digging the manager and Board out regarding failing to identify a new specialist Right Back, I've done that to death ever since last season, let alone the summer and this season. So you're well wide of the mark there also.
Re: Havard Nordtveit. Embryonic cult hero?Cult? Well you got 3 of the letters right I suppose....
