A world class RB and a striker, and then just try to upgrade who we can based on who's available. Get Cullen involved as Nobes understudy and get Burke in as the fourth CB.

I'd like our current squad to be given time to blend as a team. Maybe two or three changes max including Frzal Mycaticz, Delion Snedlord and Alphonso Ramen on a free.

Joe Hart (10m)
Kieran Trippier (10m)
Jan Kirchoff (free)
Will Hughes (10m)
Jay Rodriguez (12m)

Minimum!

Promote Oxford, Burke, Cullen + Martinez as first team squad players.

We don't need a marquee signing! We just need the right players.
I'd rather Trippier come in than some marquee signing. After that, we need a good alternative to Carroll.
We don't need to get a load of randoms for no other reason than that they were available.

When and only when we have those 2 positions sorted, we can go after the other positions that could be improved but are less urgent. A quality defensive midfielder would be nice, and a goalkeeper. I'd like us to promote Cullen to the squad as a midfield option, and I'd like to see Burke feature as a backup defender.

In terms of attacking midfield/wingers, we have snodgrass, antonio, feghouli, lanzini, ayew, and fernandes. That's not too shoddy imo, and should be bottom of the list in terms of priorities.

Have I missed something obvious?
Why are large numbers on here so sure that Adrian is leaving?

I dunno, Snedlord has really gone off the boil since the gender reassignment.

Ain't got a clue which load of old tosh we will buy in the summer. I bet Big Sam outspends us once again. I bet if you told him 3 years ago he'd be managing palace and embarrasing us in multiple transfer windows (as he will have done by the end of the next one) he would have belted out one of his chico flores laughs.

I like the look of that, but I just can't see it happening (except the 'free' of course!

Haha...that actually made me laugh out loud!

Embarrass us? He just spent £12m on Leicester's THIRD choice left-back, £14m on van Aanholt and tried to give Liverpool a profit on a defender that they paid £18m for and can't get a game with them...

So much b*llocks spouted on here about 'BIG' money signings...

The best players we've signed in the last few years...

Payet £10.25m
Antonio £7m
Lanzini £9m
Cresswell £4m
Ogbonna £10m
Obiang £5.5m
Kouyate £5.5m
Sakho £4m

Further back Reid was only £4m an Adrian was on a free

Now compare that with Ayew (£20m), Jarvis (£12m) and an always injured Carroll (£15m).

There is very little value in a January transfer window and to be honest we're more likely in terms of incomings to have found it over anyone else. Snodgrass provides, scores and works...at least one of our full-backs with have cover now...for £7m it's the best bit of business in the window. Fonte for £8m holds up as well...you can't buy every player for the future.

Summer priority has to include a keeper (has anyone ever seen Randolph shout at his defenders?!), the right-back issue needs sorting (we'll never get Trippier from Tottenham) and a goalscorer. Wouldn't mind us signing the most horrible brute going to put some aggression into our CM as well.

I think a lot depends on how we finish the season and who goes in the window.

I can see us selling Adrian, Feghouli, Ayew, Valencia, Nordtveit , Matsuaku and even Kouyate and letting Arbeloa, Tore and Calleri go. That is 40% of our 25 man squad 44% if you include Sam Westley.
I can see us signing Hart, Charlie Taylor and an out of contract right back as soon as the window opens.
That would leave us needing a striker, pace in the midfield and a proper central midfielder. I am struggling to see who we will get up front, but Perisic, Oxlade Chamberlain and Wilshire offer pace and creativity in midfield

we need a RB as usual. doubt we will get trippier or if we do levy will screw us for 15m
we need a striker - must have pace and a good injury record
We need another CB - ?
We need a CAM - siggy of swansea is the most likely. Arsenal wont sell Ox and Persic wont come here.

need to get rid of tore, ardebola, callerei, valencia, hendrie.

Ginge to stay for last season as back up.

We need to get a decent company in to sort out the seating mess that is the lower tier ! Do this and bring us closer to pitch and it will be like a new signing or two !
