Sorry, should have said 'There is more likelihood of kid members wanting to buy tickets at cat A games if they are discounted'

A completely different statement .

But they certainly won't have a better chance of doing so .

Had a call from the club yesterday asking if I wanted to renew my previously not renewed ST (more accurately, my brother's ticket - I renewed mine on day 1). Don't know if they are holding some back for those that didn't renew or if there are simply still some available. Whatever the case, I'd suggest that anyone who wants one just give them a call.

A wildkard on a wildcard. Quite apt, really.

They just called again.

Asked them if they had many tickets left, "no, we have kept some back for people who didn't renew, just in case".

Er.... ok..... nice one. Still don't want it thanks. Please stop calling me.

I'm still in band 1. They are calling me as my brother didn't renew his, also band 1, ticket which I bought for him last season (hence them calling me). Actually didn't ask them what band they were trying to flog me. I'm assuming it would be band 1, but one of the really awful ones.

Wife and mate have also had 3 calls between them, not sure what's wrong with my number lol. What is so difficult about being honest with us, I know we're hard wired consumers but they continually take treating us with contempt to new levels.

I wonder why they are hassling people that didn't renew rather than offering to those on the waiting list of which there are many.

I don't understand

Interesting. I was band 4 and haven't been contacted since 'deadline day'.

An indication the top price tickets haven't sold as well as they hoped?

Charming, isn't it. I'd been going for 40 years and haven't heard Jack from them :D

Probably a 'Band 1' thing.

Back in the old days at the Boleyn when pals would ask if we wanted to join them in a box or the posh seats we'd always say we preferred it where we were in Chav Corner in the cheap seats. I think this is now the same with 113/4 - don't think we'd swap that for the expensive seats.

Reckon so. There must be loads of band 1 people that sit up the back who haven't renewed. Can't blame them really. These must be the tickets they are trying to punt.

I've been exchanging messages with the club this afternoon. They insist they have not offered any season tickets for sale in the last day or two. Apparently both you and I are "mistaken".

Care to comment?
