Sky pundits are clueless...Alli's was more of a pen because he "worked it".

Sums up everything wrong with football these days.

Weak refs ....and diving b@st@rds

Reading this today has cheered me up and helped me realise what a privilege it is to be a West Ham fan.

The fact that we hate cheating. Cheating to the point that if our players do it they get a hard time here. We don't like it. Especially from our own players.

My fellow supporters are in general very fair and football minded. Yes we dish it out to the opposition but stand up and applaud players that may have got the better of us. An example Ray Wilkins when at QPR.

Of course would rather we would be cheering on our own, and have special times like last season.

Us West Ham UNITED fans are really the very best, most knowledgeable fans anywhere and really really deserve a successful future.

Antonio didn't get much grief for his 'dive' against Hull (or was it Burnley).
And let's not forget Tomkins the other year against Everton

So i guess all you lot would turn down the opportunity of us winning the fa cup from a penalty that we got from one of our lot taking a dive?

I absolutely wouldn't give a **** if that happened, at the end of the day while the punishment for diving is a yellow card you may as well chance your hand cos you will probably win more penalties and crucially more game/points/cup matches. Which is probably part of the reason we usually underachieve in all these areas.

He may of scored but Aguero should've of had another one or two, to me he looks a yard or two slower than he use to be, there was one point where he tried spinning Matip, two years ago he would've of been gone and scored

And the manager went on record straight after the match and said something along the lines of "we don't have that at West Ham and the player will be dealt with internally"

I can only speak for myself, but I definitely would have difficulty taking any pride from such a scenario.

If we won a penalty to win a cup final from cheating I would feel cheated myself.

Yeah the pundits on Alli made me laugh. "It's not much and he's been clever to wrap his own leg around the other players, but there's contact and it's a pen". WTF are they talking about? Just said that he bought the pen by cheating but at the same time said it was a pen. It was never a pen in a million years.

As i said earlier, no one seemed that bothered that we won a run of the mill Premier League game due to an Antonio 'dive', so can't see too many people complaining if that scenario was in a Cup Final

From what I remember most people on here said it was soft. I would hardly call it a dive, he did get his shorts pulled and I think he was off balance as he tried to swivel and shoot. Wasn't a pen by any means but I reckon if it was certain clubs and players the pundits would try and make a case for why it was.

Yes I have. And I was brought up on standards that I still live by.
For instance, I remember when English football laughed in the face of cheating European players and because of the 'wonderful' Premier League inception we are now flooded with it. Part of the reason that football is now an effeminate parody of of what it used to be.
When I see one of ours do it, I get all Dr Banner.

Check page 112 of Antonio's thread.

Quite a few of us called him on it.

Can't stand cheats. And cheats can't stand :thdn:
