Poor lad, 27 is no age at all. My sympathies go out to his family and friends.

Saw him play against my local side, Shamrock Rovers, 10 days ago. More than a touch of the Ginger Pele about him. Happy to fling himself around the pitch, quiet off it. Went up the other end and scored the winner as well.

27 is no age.

Cue social media campaign for a minutes applause on the 27th minute of the next home game

A young man who devoted most of his adult life to entertaining football fans has died tragically aged 27 , puts all your minor problems into perspective - condolences to all concerned .

I hope not!

Tbh if his club did that there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but if there's a minutes applause during the next Liverpool game for him then it's a little cringey!

RIP, poor lad :(

Saw him play a couple of seasons ago in a friendly against my local side. Same age as me. He'd just played a game the day before too. RIP.

Totally needless comment. Reguardless of your feelings about clapping, of which I agree with mostly, in this case I find your and 1 or 2 other comments out of order.

What have we become if on a forum we can not comment and express sympathy for someone who dies at such a young age without getting disrespectful posts mocking.

Edit: Nice work deleting that nasty post.
