Whilst at times they have had the hex over us (and form of both sides looks ominous ahead of Saturday) we did beat them at their place last season

Three aerial balls into the box IIRC

They battered us for 80 minutes, one of the most one sided games I've ever seen, they had 10 men from 34 minutes onwards and missed a penalty. We've lost our best player since then who sparked the comeback.

That's not how I remember it.

The stats tell a different story too... http://www.skysports.com/football/evert ... ats/341469" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If I was Koeman I would go with this 4-3-3

Robles

Holgate
Williams
Jagielka
Baines

Scheinderlin
Davies
Gueye

Barkley
LUKAKU
Mirallas

Defence kind of picks itself really seeing as Coleman and Funes Mori are out for the season and Steklenberg not being any kind of serious upgrade

Apart from LUKAKU - you guys should look out for Tom Davies - I really believe he is going to become some player.

Three products of Evertons academy in there, we'll probably have one in our whole matchday squad, and he's approaching 30

Don't remember it being like that all. We were close to being 3-0 down but Adrian's penalty save was pivotal and that victory was one of the highlights of last season for me.

Back to Saturday and the visit of Everton. There are two inevitabilities - firstly, Lukaku will score as he always does against us and secondly, we will lose.
Wish I could be more optimistic but I'm just being realistic. We are in a poor vein of form and whilst Everton can be a bit hit and miss, they will still be too good for us.

I feel with us currently, that Everton could play 5, plus Lukaku and still win by two clear goals...

Plus, I hope Slav has finally got those uncompromising photos off Randolph of him, so he starts Adrian...

Maybe we will raise our game against one of the better sides. we havent apart from chelsea in the cup so far though.

Hoping to adrian but I doubt it as randolph has done so well ! I fear him playing badly and this could be the match.

Either a highly unlikely 1-0 hammers win and lakaku shut out or the more likely 0-5 defeat.

Half full with my hammers. 1-0 cockney boys !

Agreed, he looks a superb little player considering he's only 18.

What an opportunity to see two of the Premiership's top strikers Lukaku (24 Premiership goals this season) & Carroll (7 Premiership goals this season) Just hope Randolph is shown on a chart how to cover and defend the goal.

Can't see a win here, especially with Randolph in goal and Lukaku playing, and like when most of the better sides come to town could be a damn good thrashing, this season is beginning to feel like self flagellation
