If there was ever any doubt who is the better keeper, the save of the season section highlights it...
The 3 Adrian saves (4 because the first one is a double save and got my vote), all of them were different types of saves.
The Randolph ones, one good save with the wrong hand against Liverpool and 2 free kicks that were shot to his side of the goal, and because he moves far too early he has to go back to where he was standing to make a full strecth save.
Antonio HOTY as all I want from our players is a 100% commitment and effort and he does it every game
Judging by your logic, you are wrong to be voting for the guy who is the defensive shield in midfield for a team that has conceded so many goals. FWIW I think Reid and Obiang have been outstanding and they are not to blame for the teams poor defensive record.
We have 2 defensive shields in midfield, arguably Noble is the more important in terms of breaking up play.
Don't get me wrong, I think Reid has been our best defender this year (as he has been for about 4 years), I just can't bring myself to vote for a defender when we have been so leaky at the back this year.
I guess you might mean in the other catefories, but in terms of Goal of the Season, only if you ignore Payet (which presumably we all are) as in any other year his solo goal against Boro or his rabona assist for Antonio would probably merit Goal of the Season.
Similarly, I understand why his free kick against Accrington Stanley doesn't feature, but not sure why Lanzini's against Leicester doesn't. We've actually scored some half-decent goals this year despite the general drudgery.
My two pence worth.
HAMMER OF THE YEAR: Michail Antonio
BEST GOAL: Andy Carroll vs Crystal Palace (h)
BEST SAVE: Darren Randolph vs Liverpool (a)
TEAM PERFORMANCE: Chelsea (h), League Cup
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE: ..................
BEST SIGNING: Edimilson Fernandes
You know what I mean! It's Antonio's goal but no-one will touch it now because of Payet's involvement.
Incidentally, enjoying that Arbeloa's highlights include him standing next to the fourth official waiting to come on the pitch and him picking up a ball from the side of the pitch.
HOTY: Lanzini - ahead of Antonio/Obiang for me, particularly stepped up when Payet left and in a shambles of a team.
Best Goal - Carroll v Palace - surely gets 100% of the vote
Best Save - Adrian v Everton - not giving one to Randolph out of principle
Team Performance - v Chelsea - one of few games we have stepped up in
Individual Performance - Pedro v soton, certainly deserving of award, carroll v boro close 2nd
Best Signing - Fernandes - Purely due to potential he has shown, has there been a worse selection list?
That was tough!
GOAL Carroll v Palace
SAVE Randolph v Liverpool
TEAM PERFORMANCE Palace
INIDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE Antonio v Palace
SIGNING.....no one stands out but went for Masuaku - he looks good going forward and seems to be more ready for the PL than Fernandes.
Should had a "biggest waste of oxygen" category, that would have been tough.
Gone for Winston, in a season with no real stand-out, not really fussed about the other categories, other than not voting for the sulky Frenchman or Randolph
Can't summon much enthusiasm for it tbh. Alternative cats:
