Happy enough with the home games, prefer Friday/Saturday over Sunday/Monday.

Us playing Friday nights must work out well for the Westfield. Assume it's less hassle for them and more people inclined to shop when there's no football?

It's nuts. At least on Friday I can take the nipper, not chance on Mondays.

Dont mind a Friday night game. In the pub for lunch, then leave the office early to get a few pre-match beers in, then some Karaoke after the game. :raver:

Saturday free then aswell.

Sh*t for away fans tho but since when have Sky worried about them.

We have to wait a month longer than anyone else to play at home then 5 of our first 6 matches at home are changed due to TV.

In that we play at home on a Saturday to Spurs 12.30pm, Swansea 3pm and Liverpool 5.30pm but the latter is subject to possible Europa league involvement.

Then with the next home match v Chelsea quite likely to be selected for TV, Arsenal is on a Wednesday evening thus leaving Newcastle at home on Dec 23rd as our next possible home match on a Saturday and that is almost half the season done.

For a club not in the mix for challenging for the title that is a very mixed schedule and shows a disregard for a lot of fans.

2 late Friday evenings are not great for our 10,000 (!) U16 STH.

Blimey home Saturday football is becoming a premium.

Might just be me, but any time I've been to family parties it's always the young kids still running around at 1 in the morning being hyper. Aren't those late night games the sort that stick in the mind?

Maybe so DD just a hassle after a long day at school then out on a Friday night with 8pm Ko's.

The club recognised this last season by allowing child upgrades to adults.

Still potentially one Saturday home match at 3pm this year...

Reckon the Newcastle match will be changed as Westfield will not be impressed with a Hammers home match on the Saturday afternoon just 2 days before Christmas day. The 2 Saturdays in the run up to Christmas are the busiest of the year i understand.

Done ours on the trainline, involves changing at Leeds:

The final day last year was around £80 return so we ended up going on the coaches... best to book these northern trips the moment KO time is confirmed

Although i don't agree with Friday night football, it is quite convenient for me with a relatively new baby as keeps the rest of the weekend free - means i can have a round of golf and go to west ham in the same weekend, and have family time
Plus means i can have a couple of beers on friday night

Annoying for those who like a Saturday 3pm ko though, that's for sure

If there is one thing that is going to push me over the edge not to renew our 2 x STs next season it is the ever increasing move away from the traditional 3pm Saturday KO slot. I've been a ST holder since 1977. WTF......WHU v Leicester on a Friday night, not exactly box office TV for the worldwide masses???

I don't know if it applies to Sky/BT or even if it applies at all now, but it certainly used to be that the BBC were required to show each team a certain number of times in a season on MOTD. They used to get the 'unfashionable' teams out of the way early on so they could have saturation coverage of the usual suspects as the season went on.

The UK TV fixtures are divided into 7 packages and within each one there is a minimum and maximum number of times that a club can be broadcast.
They are:
Package A - 28 matches broadcast on Saturday at 12.30pm by Sky - each club must be shown a minimum once and a maximum of 5 times:
    Package B 28 matches on Saturday 5.30pm by BT - Min 1, Max 5
    Package C 28 matches on Sunday 1.30pm/2.15pm by Sky - Min 1, Max 5
    Package D 28 matches on Sunday 4.00pm/4.30pm by Sky - Min 1, Max 5
Package E 28 matches shown either on Friday 7.30pm/8.00pm (max 10 matches) or Monday at 8.00pm (min 18) by Sky - Min 1, Max 4
Package F consists of 6 midweek matches (Tuesday/Wednesday) plus 8 matches at Saturday 12.30pm or Saturday 5.30pm or Sunday 12.00pm by BT - no minimum, max 3
Package G consists of 8 Bank Holiday matches plus 6 at Sunday 1.30pm/2.15pm or Sunday 4pm/4.30pm by Sky - no minimum, Max 2.
That means that each club must be shown a minimum of 5 times and a maximum 29 times - although each club receives a facility fee (TV payment) for a minimum of 10 matches as part of the annual payments.
