I thought three weeks was always the prognosis with Arnautovic, while Lanzini is 4-6.

Two week break after Watford.

In any other situation they would just leave him for another two weeks.

This is a very big game though. ...So it will be very tempting.... :P

He's just stronger, basically, and equally skilfull.

Bit premature.
Ashton was good in the air. Not seen so much of Arnie off the ground yet.

We need him, but wouldn't risk anything long term to play against Watford.

30 points before the cup break would be great - if there is a chance that Arni can play, i would appreciate that

Dear Mr Moyes

Please play Marco. Our defensive is crap. Our midfield pedestrian and Antonio appears to have eaten a small village.

Kindest regards
Hugh

Pardon?

He was barely injured a week before he was back in training running... and that was a week ago

I'm sure he'll be back this weekend

Have him on the bench, but I would rather us not play him and give him an extra 2 weeks of training.

That hairstyle! Quite appropriate that he looks like the leader of The Lost Boys as he leads our attack

I don't think I've ever seen a player who is as good as Marko at quickly pressuring defenders and then using his size and strength to win the ball. He is constantly creating dangerous situations from moments where he is second favorite. Defenders must hate lining up against him.

Our leader will be on his calculator as we speak wondering how much he can make when he weighs Arnie in this summer.

He’s good at football, that boy. I fear he’s becoming as crucial to us as Payet, which means when Sully decides to sell him at a loss, we’ll be hosed again.

Absolutely in playable at times, not sure where he was start off the season but he is looking an absolute beast, strong as an ox, quick as a greyhound, stubborn as a donkey, cunning as a fox, slippery as a nipple etc etc. More of the same Arnie, don't let your ego overtake your ability. :crest:

I think the ego and arrogant swagger are what makes him tick, without it he wouldn't go on those mad dribbling runs, he wouldn't try all of the flicks and tricks. What an absolute joy to watch he is, when he's on it, that's why you watch football, to be entertained.

Does anyone have any recollection of him having this kind of sustained run for Stoke? I was under the impression he was patchy and not a consistently form player for them. He seems to be exactly that for us since Moyes took over.

I think he is quickly becoming the new DiCanio. I can’t wait to hear the crowd singing “Mar-ko Arnautovic” to the tune of Paolo DiCanio (La Donna Mobile really).
We have been crying out for a terrace hero basically nice DiCanio left 15 years ago. Payet almost made the grade. The Dimitri Payet song was wonderful and we all loved his ability, but he never had the relationship with the fans DiCanio did. Arnie is going in the right direction. He certainly seems to get and relate to the fans the right way.

People bought into the stroppy cliche, and because he played for Stoke never gave him the right amount of credit.

He was averaging around 15 goals or assists a year for them (all comps) - pretty much the same ball park as Barkley and Sigurdsson - "£50m players" .

He's miles better than both of them. The change of position/role has invigorated him.
