Hope that changes.
I agree. I said something similar the only signing I think that is 'next level' I just can't share that excitment with our other 3 signings.Hopefully we are not far off another 'next level' signing in Carvahlo

The guys on sky also commented on Hernandez's hold up and link up play and work rate he is more than just a poacher superb signing.

I've been critical of the majority of our signings in the last 18 months but this guy has always been a class act and a real bargain at the price.

We've got that kid in the playground who has to go up the other end of the pitch to score a goal every time the sh@t fat kids at the back let a goal in.

It looks like I'll be paying out to the BMF - which I'm delighted about .I said before the start of the season that I had doubts about him , but he's actually been very good in the first two games .

So many things to be unhappy about our start to the season that our double goalscorer today is clearly one of our few shining lights

So my complaint about what we call him might seem trivial in the context of our opening 2 matches, but here we go anyway

His name is Javier Hernández, so we can call him Hernández, as per the English way, Javier if we want to, Javi if we feeling close to him, and Chicharito (little pea) if we want to use his slightly silly nickname

What we shouldn't be calling him is "chica" (young girl) or "chico" young lad, because it makes no sense, and, I know this for a fact, he hates it

So let's make an effort guys - he's a 29 year old model professinal, international goal scorer and all round lovely bloke. Can't we make the effort to stop calling him chica/chico.

I have it from a very reliable source that it annoys the hell out of him, and that's not a good thing

Does he get pissed at Chicha or Chica? Many of his Mex fans call him Chicha.

Good call Bish - Chicha is altogether different, and I should have mentioned that possibility. Chicha is a shortening of Chicharito, pronounced very differently and most of the Mexican squad call him that - perfectly acceptable

So long as we avoid chico/chica we'll keep him happy :scarfer:

Sadly very true. Hope it will change but... Fonte really is one of the most astonishing signings of my life as a fan. Up there with signing Hilton. yes Fonte won in the Euros but that should have been his swansong not the beginning of a 12 year contract on 500k a day. I'm not completely clear on the actual figures. Am I close?

Has anyone read the comments on the West Ham Facebook page from the Cheltenham game? Seems we've picked up a lot of Chicharito fans but not a lot of West Ham fans by signing him.

Any chance we could refer to him as Hernandez rather then Chico or Little Pea - I find both extremely cringe - his names Hernandez, let's stick with that eh

Ironic, is the use of 'cringe' to describe something as cringe worthy.

There's always his given name - Javi (Habi) for Javier.

In the current set up he should probably be on the bench but I am sure that is not what you meant!
