Re: Javier Hernandez Signs
This certainly does look like a very good signing for us.
I'm suspicious. There must be something wrong with him.

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs
.
This is such an uplift. Can't remember the last time we had a proper class striker. I was excited about Valencia and Sakho but then came the unprofessional issues and tantrums. Hernandez a real pro, brings more to the club than just goals - will attract other good players, inspire others in the squad and bring some much needed confidence. Just need a couple of decent performances/results to kick on!

His obvious selfless attitude, whilst still being a goal scorer is something we've missed for years. Doubt you'll see him throwing a tantrum if Bilic decides to play Carroll ahead of him for a certain game.Hamburger wrote:.Hernandez a real pro

I believe we've got him for his best years now.
Psycho that effort is superb by the way.

His form fell off a cliff at Man U, fitness issues, wight issues, too old. The idea we did a good thing by choosing him over Iheanacho is absurd.

Just a shame it's a 29 year old who will have no resale value in a couple of years, our net spend is
always way too high because of our inability to buy players who can be sold.
I hope he stays fit and happy.
Who gives a f*** about selling him, now we've got what we've been searching for in an age? As long as he stays healthy injury free and doesn't lose much of his quality, I'd want to keep him way beyond his current deal, possibly till he's 34/35.
In my eyes I have no interest in making any kind of profit from him as all I care about is the goals he'll help us score instead. If one day he does leave, I'm sure we will get something back but worst case scenario he leaves for nothing, well I still regard us getting a **** hot Striker for a bargain price of £16m anyway.
Hes only just turned 29 and he has plenty on the clock and plenty left in the tank. We're probably talking of at least 4 years at his current top class level, then it will tale off slowly in the next few years after that but still something we should be interested in keeping as long as he stays relatively healthy.

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs
His goals could potentially make us more money, and profit, than any sell on value, that's how I look at it. If he nets 50 goals in 3 seasons that's 16m very well spent.

Another good way of looking at it. We just might be able to make a few quid here and there from South America too as the interest continues to follow him.
A cheeky pre season trip to Mexico next summer a possibility perhaps? *digs out Sombrero*

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs
Possibly the least informed post I've ever seen. You'd be amazed if a person who got 28 goals in 54 games in the Bundesliga gets near 10 goals for us. So if you'd be amazed by him getting about 8 goals, what do you think he's likely to get? About 3 or 4? Would love to know what you're basing that on, but I suspect it's based on f*** all.Big George wrote:
I hope I'm wrong but he strikes me as another classic G&S signing, old, past his best, overpaid and over here.
I would amazed and delighted if he gets near double figures for the season
