2017/18 Posters betting (Proceeds to BMF) Current Total: £75

Most of you know the idea by now, in many threads you'll have disagreements with other posters and offer a wager. Think this could be good for it's own thread to keep everything in 1 place and for accountability.
Have your debates on the topic in question, then just place your wager in here and a summary.

"Bet Andy Carroll doesn't play 10 full matches this season..."
"Bet Hernandez doesn't hit double figures in all competitions..."
"Bet Noble gets an England Call up this season..."

Mods - don't know whether this would be worth stickying? Although it's betting between posters, it promotes charitable donation with the winnings all going to the Bobby Moore Fund.
If not, I'm sure it can be bumped regularly to stay on the first page.

Anyway, I'm off to offer Pinky the first one of the season and if he kindly accepts, I'll start things rolling....
(That is, unless you've already agreed one elsewhere...)

Please, instead of updating existing posts, create new posts with confirmation that bet has been settled and if you can post an image of your donation, that'd help :thup:

Bets settled and donations confirmed: £70 (+ £17.50 giftaid) = £77.50

Unsettled:
DD Hammer
1. £20 with Mega Ron that Ayew scores a minimum of 12 league goals.
3. £50 with YorksHammer that West Ham finish higher in the league than Everton
4. £50 if West Ham sign William Carvalho before the close of the January transfer window

Sanchoz
£1 for every goal the first team scores in all competitions for the 2017/18 season. (13)

HammerMan2004
£1 for every goal the first team scores in all competitions for the 2017/18 season. (13)

Rocket:
£200 if we win the league;
£150 if we finish 2nd-4th;
£100 if we finish 5th or 6th;
£100 if we win a cup;
£50 if we are runners-up in a cup;
£25 if we are semi-finalists in a cup;
£10 for each double against any of the 'big six' (Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal);
£5 for each double against anyone else.

ironilunga:
Bets YorksHammers £25 that the winner of the 2017/18 Hammer of the Year will be either Andre Ayew, Sofiane Feghouli, Arthur Masuaku or Edmilson Fernandes, or any other player that was signed permanently in the summer transfer window of 2016 (excluding Manuel Lanzini).

Doc H Ball:
1. £50 that no other 1 player will start more league matches as captain, than Mark Noble
2. I will donate £50 if Sullivan successfully sues Sporting Lisbon.
3. I will donate £25 for a full formal retraction pre court.

fjthegrey
£10 Noble has a higher average rating on whoscored than Renato Sanches this season. Mitigating circumstances are if either of them play less than 60% of their teams games due to injury the bet is void.

YorksHammer
£25 to the BMF if we don't get relegated this season.
2 others: See above

Settled & yet to pay:
DD Hammer
2. £50 with Ifebbubbles that we finish the window with £30m net spend or higher.

Settled & Paid:
Patito
£50 with Ifebbubbles that we finish the window with £30m net spend or higher.

Wildy
Will donate £1 per million we spend today.
£10 if we don't sign anyone.

Rars:
£10 bet with Pink Palermo that Javier Hernandez scores 5 goals in his first 10 domestic matches in all competitions.

I bet RARS is actually Ray Winstone. If proved correct £50 to the BMF.

Updated.

Can you find the post which confirms this mate?

Also, how will this be quantified and settled?

This is the last season for Fernandes to try and replace Noble full time in centre midfield according to Brooking1966. Think he said £20 was the bet.

So is that Fernandez to make more starts this season, injury notwithstanding?

I'll have a look but might be difficult!

We will just take into account transfer/loan fees, getting the figures from somewhere reliable and simply subtract the selling fees from the buying fees.

This reminds me that I never honoured the £5 I owed for the solitary double we achieved last season - now donated.

Patito wrote: I tell you what, you can put your money where your mouth is...if we make a profit in this window I'll give £20 to the BMF, if we have a net spend of £20 million or more, you can donate £20 to the BMF or a charity of your choice, deal??

Ifebbubbles wrote: Although I'm tempted to take the bet I imagine we may just scrape over the 20 million mark. It should be closer to 50.

Patito wrote: Ifebubbles - you saw the bet last time because you posted right after it

You've seen it again now

Stop beating around the bush, are you gonna put your money where your mouth is or not?

Ifebbubbles wrote: Call it 30 million net spend and your on.

Anything less and you donate. Anything more and ill donate.
Shouldn't be a problem as out board are definately ready to spend big this window right???

Patito wrote: You originally claimed they'd be making a profit now you reckon it'll be 30 mil

But fine you're on, £30 million + net spend by Sept 1st
