Just seen this, pleased for him. And bollox to Carragher on Monday Night Football who claimed it wasn't on target therefore a Curtis Davies OG.

Must admit, I thought it was 50/50.

I'm glad. That means he is off the mark nice and early.

Not sure whether he will play Saturday though.

Got a feeling Allardyce might go a bit "defensive" as its liverpool playing 2 wingers that will work back to help the full backs e.g. Downing + Amalfitano/Jarvis. Rather than playing Valencia and Sakho

almost as many goals as carroll in the league last year ;) and more with his feet!

Looks a decent signing. Got something about him...

Maybe he just reminds me of a version of carlton who can trap the ball

Early days but his runs off the ball are different gravy to what we had last season and loving the way he's linking up with valencia and downing

although we seem to be going the way of total football with a diamond at the moment i'd really like to see the damage he and valencia would do with some crosses into the box too. We seem to have gone from last seasons approach to cross it relentlessly with one player at best in the box to rarely putting it in....but when we do these two seem to scare the defense silly in the air.....

but really liking his performances so far

Had a very, very good game, second best in the West Ham team behind the excellent Downing IMHO.

I like Sakho's playing style and his attitude seems to be great judging from perfomances and interview. Let's hope he settles in and become a good player for us.

Really happy he's been given that goal. It'll help his confidence. Two goals already and he's played well in both his starts.

After the way Maiga worked out I was unfair in being a little bit wary of this lad coming in. If before a ball was kicked I'd have had to put the nine Summer transfers in order of err, bestness I'd have put Sakho down at around 8th. But he seems to be more suited to the English game and a totally different and stronger character to the likes of Maiga. Hope he keeps it up.

I think his play off the ball is quite impressive.

I think he is going to go onto be a cult hero

Already more successful than maiga (although if maiga played up front with sahko it would be a different story) Sakho is the kind of striker we wanted when we went for maiga.. maiga is a poorer version of valencia.. I doubt valencia could lead the line completely alone like we did to maiga last year
