there are possible financial penalties to pay,
league cup you share gate receipts,
if we draw a smaller club at home, they would have earned more from an away game at the OS than possibly a home game against us, so i reckon we would have to bung them a sweetener as compensation for switching.

The EFL will decide the amount. A rough calculation based on some logic but with no knowledge of how they work things out:

A home game with us in this round is probably worth about £220k to an opposition club - 35k attending average price of ticket £12.50 (£10 ST £5 kids ST prob £15/£10 non ST).

Newport I would guess is smallest capacity for 8,000 average price £14 a ticket would be worth 110k (if we didn't take any share) to them so would guess us coughing up about 100k is worse case scenario.

Probably a reasonable number of the draws which would mean we would still get something from gate receipts of an away game.

I was looking at the big H on those red balls thinking why's he keep saying it's away

Cheltenham at home but obviously changed, nice easy tie!

How hard is it to do a football draw? We knew we had to play away anyway but this is so badly organised.

No idea why they've made it this complicated.

Would have been easier to just rotate home and away between every two balls out...

Good draw for us

So did we draw home or away? (I know we have to play away anyway). Do we have to pay compensation?

We drew Home I think, but they immediately put us Away side.

If we had been drawn away instead of at home, then we wouldn’t need to compensate the opposition, different now, add that this was a home game so our travelling fans now have to pay out extra to see a game they should be seeing in Stratford.
Basically i hope the club lay on free transport for the fans

It's a home draw. To be played away.

If we have to pay compensation then perhaps we should be given the Home allocation. :P
