Re: Declan Rice
****ing hell, he's caught the West Ham bug big time. I don't give a f*** how much he'll eventually be worth, if I had it my way, I'd never, ever sell him. I know that won't happen but that's how much I rate him as a player, but also just as importantly, as a person.
He's one of our own.

Re: Declan Rice
Noooo If he serves his club and Country half as good as Bobby he can retire his own squad number and it will be thoroughly deserved.

Re: Declan Rice
What a smashing young man.
His parents have done a great job with him.
Must be bursting with pride.
I've never seen such a young player at West Ham who has played to such a high level so consistently at such a young age.
Rio didn't. Lampard didn't. Joe Cole didn't, Cottee didn't, Carrick didn't...........Declan Rice does, every week.
I think he is special, like really really special.

I think if/when he wants to go somewhere else won't throw a strop to get it that's for sure.Colours never run wrote:****ing hell, he's caught the West Ham bug big time. Should never have retired it, its crass money making that was behind it.goingunderground wrote:Can we get a poll on the number 6?

Re: Declan Rice
The Board did good by playing his contract right with sorting out the way they did. So many were panicking over it. No commotion, no drop in form, rewarded him sufficiently where he's clearly very happy and on a lengthy deal too which gives both parties security. It could have gone horribly wrong.

True, although I quite like the gesture. Still, I also like the idea of the number becoming a sacred baton.GaryP wrote: Should never have retired it, its crass money making that was behind it.
