Goals, schmoles. I don't care if he never scores another (though a last minute winner to collect The Cup wouldn't be unwelcome) - just watching him see into the future and shut down the opposition while the other 21 players on the pitch try to catch up is an absolute joy.

I never saw Moore play outside of some highlights, but Rice's, frankly, spooky anticipation makes me realise what people were talking about all these years.

I honestly think he's the best player I've ever seen come through WH ranks at his age, even better than Rio was at the same age. Him and Anderson are out 2 best players, even better than Arnie.

His future is going to depend on what we do this summer.

The kid is seriously special, he can play for anyone. Probably already. Thankfully, he loves West Ham. He also said he wants to play at the top and win the Champions League. In his mind, his dream is probably to do that with us. But we have to prove that we are what Pellegrini says, a team that thinks like a big club.

Build around Rice. £100m spend in the summer and we can compete. Unfortunately more likely GSB make excuses for a year or two before we meekly reinvest from sales of our best players.

Prove us wrong. This club has been notoriously guilty of not striking whilst the iron is hot and missing an opportunity.

Overchuffed that he scored today. I have been willing him to net one all season, but today he gave himself a birthday present (it's on Monday). To watch the reaction of his teammates shows that there's a real unity there. Plus his reaction to the crowd was something special.

I hope we keep him because I want to be proved wrong as I have stated in the past that we will never see the likes of Mark Noble again.

You're probably right about Nobes - can't see too many future players making 300+ PL apps.

I want to keep him because his potential appears to be almost limitless.

Very rare that you get to see an instance of true passion and sentiment in football in 2019.

We had one today.

I’ve fallen out of love with football pretty much since we moved, but that was a special moment today when he scored. And he was already the best player on the pitch by a mile before that happened.

^^ Lovely photo.

I just hope we as a club can grow at the same rate Declan appears to be, it may be our only chance of keeping him here for at least the length of his contract.

ditto

thing is IF we can finish even 8th as long as we are within touching distance of 6th or 7th that should show the players here that without some top quality starters out injured for most of the season there is hope and worth their while staying on....

it might of course also influence Sully to put his hand into his pocket.

(I might have made that bit up)

Controversial idea for a KUMB Poll:- Give him the no. 6 shirt next season?

Let him write his own story with his own number I reckon mate.

We should keep 6 retired forever. Though it does irk me that the jellyfish was the last to wear it. Unless I have that wrong.
