Weekend games 9th-11th September

Postby wolf359 on Sat Sep 09, 2017 1:12 pm

Man City 1-0 against the victims.

Mane sent off for flattening the keeper, looked very harsh to me but I couldn't have happened to a finer team.

Doesn't look good for Ederson though, about to be stretchered off after long treatment.

Other Weekend Fixtures

Man City 1-0 up, and Mane just sent off for Liverpool with keeper Ederson about to be stretchured off from the challenge.

Possibly was a harsh red card as there was no intent to injure the keeper but it's a very high boot at speed and he had no control so I can see why the ref has sent him off.

I put Arnautovic in my fantasy team. He gets sent off.
I put Walker in my fantasy team. He gets sent off.
I put Mane in the team instead of Arnautovic. He gets sent off.

Stupid ****ing game.

For me it was a Red..
Studs showing head high caught the keeper in the face while doing so.
Now 2-0

Yeah at home vs Leicester I think. He was also not coming in at speed whilst in the air like Mane was. The more I see it the more it is a red card.

Kicking a player in the face, at head height, studs first? intent or not that has to be the very definition of dangerous play .... it's a red card all day long .,.. suspect the keeper will be very lucky not to need facial surgery after that one ... no intent but stupidly dangerous ....

100% red everyday of the week, think the ref has been really

De Bruyne is still best player in the league by miles, does it all, goals, assists, passes, gets back

Carragher has just summed it up brilliantly for why it was a red.

According to Neville and Tyler it was harsh and shouldn't be a red - unbelievable that they think, even after seeing the replays where Mane's foot is 6foot off the floor and catches the keeper studs up on the jaw, that is was not worthy of a red - it is a red all day long!

Just had a thought, if Ederson I said out for any length of time, can Man City recall Hart?

As per every other time we have this situation (Arsenal and Jenks) you can't recall a season long loan with a fee involved

And just realised the ox has been spanked by the oppo 2 weeks running lol

Red card all day long, you can't have your foot that high, even if he was going for the ball.

I argued this at the time.
Adrian was watching the ball, looking to hook it back over his head. Something you will see in most games and go completely without any notice, but caught a player he didn't see who came into challenge and I thought the red was harsh.

Mane knew he was racing on to a 50/50 with the goalkeeper and led with a boot at head height.

An absolute stonewall red card.

I see that both Burke and Cullen have only made the bench today for Bolton.

Looks to me like a clear cut case of dangerous play.

Bouremouth are in trouble, Howe is just a slightly better version of Billic but his teams can't defend either

Tottenham making Everton look nothing, Everton too slow in the final third Rooney, Sandro, Sigurssdon
