Crazy really!

Trying to change a team built with a Big Sam blueprint to one of an Ajax blueprint, (pretty much as chalk and cheese as you can get) was always going to be difficult, and definitely needed time.

I don't really get what Palace are trying to achieve.

I guess they hired De boer as they wanted to change their philosophy and play attractive football like the Ajax method. But you need players that play in a certain way, you can't have the likes of Puncheon, Joe Ward, Jeffrey Schlupp and Delaney and make that transition over night.

I think De Boer was in the wrong place at the wrong time

The amount money thrown at that club versus how they perform is ridiculous.

Last years squad was an easy top ten side.

Ridiculous, simply ridiculous. Probably even more idiotic than the Ranieri sacking.

I never thought I'd say it, but we should probably make the most of Wenger while he's around because as soon as he's gone a manager that lasts to the end of a second season at a club is probably going to feel like a veteran.

What a joke, they looked quite good yesterday.

Ridiculous. Why did they bring him in then? The playing style was never going to magically change and be successful overnight.

Palace were unlucky vs Burnley. Well, at least De Boer was, they created enough chances. Scott Dann missed from 5 yards ffs.

The good news is he's available as a possible replacement for when Bilic goes...

Yeah have to say i caught the second half of the Palace game and they absolutely Annihilated Burnley, can't believe they didn't get a point let alone take all three.

Benteke and Scott Dann both missed absolute sitters

Ridiculous decision. Played well yesterday and whilst it's a results business he only started 4 games ago, needed time to change the previous managers stamp on the team. Madness.

quote from Palace forum

"To sack DeBoer after just 4 games is perhaps the most stupid decision in my near 50 years of following Palace and by God there has been some stupid decisions.

5 years ago Roy was a good manager, there were times when he was managing England I was wondering whether dementia had started to set in. He should be enjoying his retirement and we should have been embracing a change of style even if it meant a season of struggle.

If we get relegated this season after this, we will thoroughly deserve it. Disgusting!"

Daft decision, and Palace have probably screwed the pooch on this one.

Wonder whether his results would be any different with us. Don't want to see the back of Bilic, and doubt the board would consider someone that has been a 'failure' at another Barclay's club this season, but he certainly aspires to the type of football I'd like to see us play.

Its the insanity of the £££ in the PL. No wonder the same old 'men behind the ball' lot keep getting jobs.

Bring in a guy to change the culture and system of the club, take no account that the players were bought to fit an entirely different system. Then sack him when he hasn't got things working perfectly in 2 months.
