The Back Room Boys

Given David Moyes has put together his back room staff that has a pretty strong playing and manegerial experience , is this the (on paper) strongest back room staff team we have ever had ?

How does it compare to the backroom staff teams of yesteryear?

I have no idea of what coaching entails or who is or isn't good at it.

Getting that disclaimer in because it's funny.

You've just condemned us to a 5-0 defeat against Watford.

Is Gary Lewin still employed? To be honest I'm glad the 70 year old fitness coach and useless Julian Dicks are gone.

TalkSport ran a poll yesterday asking if West Ham have made a statement of intent with the appointment of Moyes and backroom staff (Pearce, Irvine.)

80% said no.

Let's give them a chance .

Pearce in particular I have time for . He once had a proper job and knows football has been good to him .

Nice to see he still loves the game enough to stick a tracksuit on .

If you want the truth every single one of them was an abject failure in their last job.But hey when did that ever stop a football club employing someone

Psycho and Irvine are supposed to be good coaches. Maybe management isn’t for them but coaching is. I don’t feel that Psycho is a token appointment on the same way that Julian was.

Good luck to them; tough gig and they all wanted it.

Pearce’s last job as a coach was the England U21s, although he’s done a bit of work for Portsmouth and is highly spoken of.

Irvine, Pearce and McKinlay have failed in management but not coaching. But don’t let that stop you pushing your anti everything West Ham agenda. Have you made a positive post on this site? (Other than about other teams who you seem to have nothing but praise for)
