Be extremely harsh to drop Adrian after today's performance, he's earned his place.

If ever there was a no brainer.. Adrian. Long overdue. Not even Moyes could avoid keeping him in.

I think it might be very telling that Moyes (nor Bilic) have a choice IF he does go straight back inColours never run wrote:If ever there was a no brainer.. Adrian. Long overdue. Not even Moyes could avoid keeping him in.

Re: [POLL] Hart or Adrian?
This might beat the 95% for Pardew in the last poll
Be a travesty if Adrian doesn’t keep the shirt, have to reward players when they play better.
However is the decision down to Moyes or Sullivan?
World Cup year etc....
Think the fans might get quite vocal on Saturday if Adrian isn’t picked mind... well hope so

Re: [POLL] Hart or Adrian?
My argument all along regarding the Keeper situation, is they must be selected purely on merit and not because they are the perceived better Keeper based on reputation. I was for Hart coming here but not at the expense of the Team if both we and him are struggling for the form.
Regarding the World Cup situation, Hart had his chance to stake a real claim at the beginning of the season to prove he's good enough to cement his place as England's Number 1 but he simply hasn't taken it. We then shouldn't continue to pick him in the faint hope he'll suddenly get his act together for Club and Country. We ain't here as a Football Club for Harts benefit, the Club comes first, first and foremost. And to be perfectly honest, Hart should accept that without any qualms and should now be backing up his team mate just as Adrian has got on with it behind the scenes. Hart should console himself at the least he'll be on the flight to Russia, as thsts pretty much a given now even if he shouldn't start ahead of Pickford these days.
Not that I expect Moyes to reinstate Hart anyway after what's happened to both our Keepers recently in the side.

Watching Rooney's Goal of the Month on MOTD2, you have to ask yourself (again), "WTF was Hart doing there?!"

So if (quite rightly) Hart gets dropped for the league games does that mean he plays against Arsenal in the cup ?

Re: [POLL] Hart or Adrian?
Hart for me is the better keeper, however Adrian played very well yesterday and deserves a run of games - you can't argue with that
If Adrian gets back to last years form then Hart immediately reinstated for me
Despite his performance yesterday, he still showed many of his vulnerabilities... lets hope with a run of games an new manager that those start disappearing (not sure they will though)

Re: [POLL] Hart or Adrian?
Can't really see how Hart is the better keeper at the moment, he is a busted flush as far as I'm concerned. Possibly still relying on reputation but he has repeatedly not shown any sort of form this season and he doesn't seem to be able to organise the defence in front of him, all of whom don't appear to have any confidence in him.
Adrian's performance yesterday means he deserves to start.

Re: [POLL] Hart or Adrian?
Good point, wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a clause that Hart is first choice as long as he’s fit.e17 wrote:I think it might be very telling that Moyes (nor Bilic) have a choice IF he does go straight back in
Adrian made plenty of good saves yesterday, but also it was his general demeanour and communication that impressed me, that must help a confidence shot defence.

A bloke who really seems to enjoy playing for us. vs. A bloke who wonders what he's done.

It's not merely about the perceived quality, also about the passion, professionalism and affinity.
Adrian is ours, Hart is just passing through.

I used to share a house with someone called Adrian Hart. Little did I suspect that one day...

Re: [POLL] Hart or Adrian?
I think the team play better with him in it. In fact, arguably our two best performances this season (City & Spurs) have been with Adrian between the sticks - All the others would seem to have beeen a dirty protest to him being dropped.

Re: [POLL] Hart or Adrian?
I like Hart and I don’t think we’d be any better off if Adrian had been in the sticks instead of him this season. However I’ve gone for Adrian as I feel he unfairly lost his place in the summer when Sullivan wanted to make a statement signing.
