Ricky Vaz Te

Postby Crouchend_Hammer on Tue Jan 09, 2018 2:35 pm

I know there is another thread on him somewhere (probably started by me), but couldn't find it

Anyway, I noticed on SoccerWay he scored five goals in the five appearances he made in the Chinese Super League at the back end of their season (finished in November 2017), after banging 11 in 19 starts in the 2016/17 Turkish Super League

He is only 31

I would love to see him in the Claret and Blue again (and no, I am not joking)

There's more chance of him returning to Barnsley.

Same here, he kicked it more or less straight at us. We were in club wembley immediately next to the score board. I assume you were in club wembley too?

He's been training with them so makes sense getting some game time as well.

Deserved more of a chance with us. When he handed in his transfer request he had the best scoring/assisting stats in the squad but Sam didn’t fancy him.

I thought he was great.

I do remember a quote on here when he come on as a sub (may have been his first game) but he went from his normal locks to a full on mohican style cut with shaved sides.

It went along the lines of "eff me what has happened to Vaz Te's hair. His barber have a power cut or something.

I was in there, no chance of a ticket so my old man managed to find club wembley tickets for £400, with lunch, open bar and Phil Parkes roaming the tables. Thought it was a pretty good deal to be honest, given the occasion.

Anyway, another fan here. Love(d) the guy, thought he was class. Not quite as good but the Trevor Sinclair of WHU at the time.

I remember that time he was on Soccer AM with Matt Taylor.

"So Matt, you were raised in Oxford to an architect father and teacher mother.....whilst Riccardo, you escaped war torn Guinea in a container ship with bombs falling all around you"

The more I think about it, the more I think Vaz Te is a brilliant band name.
