Jumby, I know mate I am really stretching and it is certainty not a signing I would expect in this world class stadium.
Just trying to understand the rationale really. He doesn't bang them in so to speak and apparently (not really seen much of him) he is a handful. 2+2=.....

With Andy Carroll constantly pissed I was thinking he might be AC lite.....

Reminds me a bit of when we signed Steve Jones, albeit with more experience. Or to an extent, Leroy.

if you buy a player for £10m and the selling club agree to 5 years of small payments, then you sell him 6 months later for £10m paid over a couple of years or even upfront, do you have to clear the balance of the original deal or can you carry on paying it over the 5 years?

You can opt to pay the fee as agreed over the 5 year term.

It can be a useful way of improving short term cash flow.

If Lanzini does a backheeled lob into the area, Arsenal f**k about, and Jordan runs in to head the ball in the net, then runs past the travelling fans and stands in front of the home support at The Emirates to celebrate, he's the signing of the season!

What was the point of buying this bloke? If he can't get at least a sub appearance when were playing Burnley, it looks as if we overpaid by almost exactly the amount we paid for him.

I just love that Sean Maguire, our cast off, has done more than him in a lot less time on the field, for Preston.

At least he'll be good for hotel tips on away trips next season.

Internationally capped and with the same number of goals to his name, after a medium term injury.

Hughill's purpose is unclear. I don't know why he is not being used.

"There's this lad, mid twenties, he's scored eight goals in 27 games for Preston"

"Has he? Great, and?"

Is all it should have ever been. We all knew it was stupid at the time but you have to remain optimistic. Now it looks f**king stupid.

Because he isn't very good, average in the championship and I'd be very underwhelmed if he was starting for us in the championship next season.

He may not have played much but you could at least get his name right.

Perhaps you could have checked the title on the other Jordan Hugill thread.

That is rather a stupid statement considering he hasnt had a chance to prove himself in our colours yet. 2 brief sub appearances is hardly enough to assess his worth. He should be given a start next game, he cant do any worse than what we have witnessed in the past 3 games.
