Is the £75k confirmed?

He was without a club and I wasn't aware others were desperate to sign him and pay anything close to that (given his age and recent behaviour).

Assumed it would be a pay as you play deal??

Is it illegal to suggest a director of one company may have had an expensive diner with the director of another company that he may of had an interest in? (Just to discuss an idea or something) If so I’m not alleging anything and I haven’t got a clue if there was a dinner or anything.

Every season they do this , the amount of money they waste on dross is absolutely disgraceful .
It's as if they don't know what they're doing , why didn't Young Jack warn his Dad what he was getting into ?

Steady, mate. I know Evra's getting on a bit but I don't think he's dying.

This signing was never about strengthening the squad.

It was 100% meant to immediately rectify the club's reputation following Tony Henry's remarks. They needed a high profile African born player to be signed as soon as possible, and Evra was the perfect fit for that.

Whether that's worth £1.5m is a whole different question.

Well done Patrice!

That would have really made some unfortunate kids' Easter. Nice one.

As much as it's commendable he does such a thing, is he actually still a professional Footballer or a glorified street entertainer these days?

Pointless signing and wages.

I bet none of the kids knew who this clown was even after he took off the costume. He is just a publicity whore. Nice deed but it is like those YouTubers who do 'selfless' good deeds but only to get hits and views. Sorry, not buying any of it. Take your paycheck then piss off please.

Just seen this. Please tell me this is a joke and not actually true? I can't believe that is true for a near 36yo who isn't any good these days.

If the kids knew him or not wasn't the reason he spent time cheering up the kids. Why not simply recognise the deed for what it is?

He has never shone away from selfpromotion. It's part of his brand, and he'll most likely use plenty of time on his brand after he stops playing football. His followers generate him some income now, and after he's finished as a player. It's a trade, deal with it.

We brought him in, we offered him the pay.
Why hate the player?
It's the DOF's work. After all, it's his money.

No it’s not. He doesn’t put his money into the club. We do. In fact, he takes money out of the club to line his own pocket.

But does give us an extra £x per week to spend this season based on how the daft FFP rules work!

I have no problem with Evra himself, he only came in as cover. Seems like a nice bloke & I feel he tried his best whenever he put on a Hammers shirt, however sadly he looked well off the pace of the game. We've had worse players play for us who were in there prime age.

The board deserve the criticism for making the signing of a player who was well past premier league standard strength and pace wise, especially during a crucial time in our season.
