Southampton have won 5 league games this season:

WBA (twice); West Ham (10 men and two penalties); Palace (pre Hodgson); Everton (with caretaker)

Even with 10 men we did well. Better than before Arnies red anyway.

Expected more comments on here re Jonjo Shelvey. He was well up for it today and MOM by miles. Would have loved to have seen him in our midfield and him being a Hammer as well. On the other hand the Mancs were dire and Pogba, what an embarrassment he is. Thought he was gonna cry when he was subbed! On that showing nothing to fear from the Mancs but surely they can't be that rubbish again? After the Huddersfield and Newcastle wins today we should just concentrate on our own games and get the required 6 or 7 points. No point in worrying what the teams behind us are doing! Unless we're playing them of course!!

The Saints should have an enormous war chest after the sale of so many players for big bucks such as Van Dijk. Why have they not bought some quality players and sacked their manager who not up to it and that was evident last year. Do the dildo gang have an interest in the Saints as well?

Interesting stat. I always assume they’ll get out of it because they’re less of a clown show than most clubs down there. But then you see something like that and think...maybe. Because that is a shocking record.

7 of their last 11 are away from home and the only player they have with more than three goals is Charlie Austin.

I think they'll stay up - just.

Think we're more likely to go down than the Saints. It's so tight at the bottom half of the table. Any side that can put together a couple of wins can escape and a side that loses a couple can be back in the mire. Not at all sure that our run in favours us given the struggle we've had with teams around us.

Hope I'm wrong of course.

They don't look like they have goals in them, that would be my concern for them, but there again you can say that of just about all the teams with relegation worries. This could yet be the undoing of Brighton with just 22 goals for the season

Over a quarter of Brightons league goals have come in two games against us. Incredible.

Izquierdo, Gross and Murray can all put it in the back of the net...I think Brighton have enough to stay up. Southampton I'm not so sure - they have some quality players but they badly need Charlie Austin back

Sturridge off injured within 3 minutes for WBA - West Brom the better team v Chelsea. Should've been a penalty for them as well.

WBA denied penalty. Fabregas should have got a straight red too. Lucky Chelsea, as usual.

Mind you. Dawson deserved a straight red for that lifted leg on Zappacosta.
