1981 League Cup Final Replay Villa Park. Lost 2-1.

Was in the North Stand (which I'm sure used to be called something else??) with the Scousers. The noise was incredible. Goddard 1-0 right in front of me.

The the Reds overran us 2-1 and Sir Trevor had a chance right near the end which I still think about....

The train home was ghostlike. Everyone alseep apart from one 13 year old kid who had to go to school in the morning...

Paid twenty quid for a six quid seat off a scouser for a seat in their part of the Anfield Road End, Sat with my mate who used to do the cartoons for OLAS and two hammers from Northampton. When we scored, it was like a four man oasis in a desert. Give the scousers their due, they didn't give us any grief. McMahon takes Judas out and it's game over. Gave my gooner mate from work some advice on getting in. Four days later he goes up early and gets in the Kop after queuing for three hours. Punching a crush barrier after Michael Thomas scores, the scouser next to him says "Don't worry mate, we'll win it next year".

Little did he know.

Also a 1988 midweek 0-0 with Tom McAlister in goal

Felt like a win

1968 , I was 12 , Gwil was 13 - we were using the Anfield main gate as a ' goal ' , it was Gwil's turn to be Goalkeeper and I ballooned the ball straight over the gate never to see it again .

I should have added that Gwil's Uncle Emlyn was a Steward at Everton FC yet lived within 100 yards of Anfield , hence the kickabout .

Went to this as a wee teenager. First time I'd ever seen us beat them, and it was on my birthday. What a way to break my duck.

'Ince Meat' said the Sun the next day.

We beat them 1-0 at home about 10 years ago as well. Noble penalty in the 90th minute. Don't remember anything else from that game!

Apart fron the cup final it would be this for me too, believe it is the Holte end that you're searching for Jon. Mind you we shouldn't have even been there should we? Not interfering my arse!

Dropping an 'E' for the first and last time at a football match. A sunday afternoon game about 91/92. Bouncing around back of the North Bank to Billy Bond's claret n'blue army. 0-0. Never again.

Maybe I should post mine as Liverpool F.C - your "non" memories.

The 4-1 'Ince' game in the League Cup. Strutting into school the next day like John Travolta in front of all the plastic Scouse 'fans'. Just one of those West Ham moments that make it all worth it.

Our scouse friends drive me absolutely ape**** more than all the others combined. Words fail me.

My dad took me, I was 10, and I remember watching fans climbing over walls to get in (I'm sure they were scousers but my memory isn't great!) and by the time we got to the turnstiles it was a full house. It is the only time I have been unable to get in to a match I have turned up for.

My Dad took us to that match with the same outcome.

Carlton Cole taking “Carra” and Skrtel to the cleaners. Must have been around 2010-2011.

You know it was the last but one game we won that year...Carlton scored right at the end, down the Bobby.

We then beat Stoke, also at home, the following week, but, apart from the odd draw, lost every other game, under Avram.

The coming match and the one we remember are 7 years separate, almost to the day.

uptonspark - no, we were in the opposite end to the Holte. I thought it was 'Milton' end??

The Holte was divided in half for the two sets of fans. Behind the other goal it seemed 99% scouse but on that clip you can see quite a few Hammers celebrating in there!

As you say, unbelievable decision at Wembley.

Another non-West Ham memory was the 1978 Wales v Scotland World Cup Qualifier match at Anfield - I had gone with a mate , my sister and her mate , when we got there the Scottish fans were kicking at the gates and I really thought we were going to get caught up in all the trouble but we just walked round them to queue up at our turnstile - there was fighting going on during and after the match and it was a relief to be back on the bus home .

1974 - 27th April [ had to look it up ] - ok it was only a 2-2 draw but Frank Lampard Snr scored a peach of a goal which would have been a contender for Goal Of The Season had it not happened so late in the season

League Cup Final 1981 -

Liverpool 1 West Ham United 1 [ Ray Stewart penalty gave us a replay which I won't mention ] .

Beating them 3-1 in '82 was scant revenge but a great win nontheless - Sandy Clark was amongst the goals that day .

1988 - West Ham United 4 Liverpool 1 League Cup 4th Round and that Paul Ince scissor kick .

29th August 2015 - Slaven Bilic's Greatest Triumph with West Ham United -

Liverpool 0 West Ham United 3 [ Lanzini , Noble , Sakho ]

2nd January 2016 - West Ham United 2 Liverpool 0 [Antonio , Andy Carroll ]

9th February 2016 , FA Cup 4th Round Replay and this victory over Liverpool would make it a hatrick over them in one season - West Ham United 2 Liverpool 1 [ Antonio , Ogbonna ]

Slaven Bilic 3 Jurgen Klopp 0

Likewise. Certainly at least since the days of Dalglish, Rush, Souness, Hansen, Lawro, et al when they seemed to win everything for years and the media loved them. My hatred for them was fully cemented by the way they cheated us out of an FA Cup.

Ah yes it's all coming back now. He threw Skrtel to the floor, dummied it past Carragher then rifled it home, I still think he was goingfor the opposite corner mind.

That Stoke game I had to dash right after the final whistle and head for the airport, was full of optimism after that. Can't believe we didn't win another game after that. You're right though I just had a quick gander at our results and we got one point from our last 9 games.
