I think I was there with my brother! I think it was flipping cold!

Tried to start a Zola inspired song, can't for the life of me remember what it was though.

Good memories!

West Ham Utd sign highly-rated (and injury prone) RoI striker Terry Dixon on a free transfer. He fails to play a single competitive match for the Hammers. Dixon, 28, now features for Berkhamsted in the Midlands League.

3 YEARS AGO: Andy Carroll is ruled out for the rest of the 2014/15 season with cruciate ligament damage. He doesn't feature for West Ham again until September, some seven months later.

I’m dreading tomorrow and Oldham Athletic and Grimsby Town

The grief from the Mrs was bad enough at the time, the results really helped

Oldham was gallows humour at its best though, I was lucky as I was in the seats and relatively dry

But the scoreboard above our fans who were stood was ****ing annoying and got dealt with , it blew up and a huge flash and puff of smoke, after it got coined after the 5 th or 6th goal went in, a few weeks later we played them again , and when announcing the ticket details at half time at the Boleyn ground a week or so earlier, our PA I think it was Jeremy Nicholas, said Oldham Athletic had asked West Ham’s travelling fans to remember the scoreboard is not coin operated

The show me the way to go home song that night in the seats was superb , and the Oldham Stripper was hilarious

Anyhow , you lot can suffer the one Utj didn’t put up the cup replay at Grimsby in 96

Along with 'Cold in Oldham, Cold in Oldham, Cold in Oldham' in reply to their occasional Come on Oldham.

I was a very young lad back then and this was one of my first away games. My old man knew their physio and was given tickets, it was half term week so he thought why not take the lad.

I remember the hot buffet at the service station on the way up had just one poor girl working on it, every time she turned round to make a tea, hands came flying in from everywhere taking burgers, sausages, rolls... whatever anyone could get!
