The Accounts

Worthy a thread, I'd guess.

We have a few posters who'll know what to look for and translate the essence to us ordinary folks.

My understanding is they have to be submitted by tomorrow, so if they do submit them tomorrow, how many days after can we expect them to be shown? Last years were dated by companies house as 23/2/17 and on the website dated 27/2/17, whilst the 2015 accounts are dated by companies house as 3/12/15, but on the website 11/12/15. So perhaps we've got up to a week to wait?

They're normally on Companies House site in about 2 days - they also publish them on the Club's website as well.

I think I read the 3rd March as the date we would get eyes on them.
With that being a Saturday, not so sure??

Would be shocked if they do that this year as they know they will be under scrutiny.

Or if they do they will post them without an 'article' and just file them away in an index somewhere.

^^^ They'll be here along with the previous years:
http://www.whufc.com/club/corporate-information/financial-reports.

They will probably file them with Companies House after 6:00pm tomorrow - in the hope that Cardiff will be snowed in on Thursday and with many others filing at the end of the month they won't get looked at and published until Monday!

What’s the fine for late filing nowadays?

What are the chances that they choose to take a fine to delay post march?

^^^ £150 for up to one month late - £375 up to 3 months late. Brady would pay that to ensure her salary for the year remains under wraps for a little while longer.

They won't do that though - would look very bad especially as the accounts are meant to show record revenues.

If you go to the Companies House website, you can get news updates for any company. I should get a notification as soon as the club's accounts are available.

Whenever I see the word Accounts, or Accountant, my mind always reverts back to when I was a young lad working in the City of London and I saw a letter on the bosses desk, posted from Japan, addressed to The Manager of The Accunting Department

You would think that if there was nothing contentious in the accounts they would put them out as soon as possible, especially with the growing angst among the West Ham support.

If they delayed them past not only the deadline (I know it is just £100, but it does reflect poorly on the company) but past the 10th of march it would really raise some alarm bells - willing to risk the speculation of a lot of angry hammers rather than post them suggests there is something in them they do not want out in the open at the moment.

Hopefully they pop up in the next couple of days, it's my last day in the accounting practice this Friday so fingers crossed I have something to look through at my desk (/pub)

No I didn't make it to manager with that company. I was about 17 years of age at that time and was everybody's lacky. For some totally inexplicable reason I stayed loyal to them for about 5 years and even to this day, I still ask myself why I didn't leave them sooner, but when I did, I found my true vacation in life and made it far higher than mere management

Late publication linked to the request for an emergency meeting of the fans action groups I wonder?

Don’t really know the ins and outs of published accounts UTJ. Will they show the debt, if it’s still anything like £100m?
